In an industry such as construction, at the moment, a lot of all kinds of methods and options for fixing parts are used. The construction of any object, be it a residential building, office or store, almost never does without the use of anchor, rigging and furniture fasteners. One of the main connecting devices in this list, along with bots and self-tapping screws, is construction brackets. What are they and what are characteristic? Learn the answers to these questions during this article.
Characteristic
Forged tools, forged, were initially considered the most durable and effective tool for joining wooden beams and parts in chopped and block houses, bathhouses and other buildings, the basis of which is made of natural materials. As practice shows, it is these brackets that provide the most durable and reliable connection for the shortest possible time period. At the same time, the installation process is ensured by means of a special device (almost as in the case with rivet machines) in just a few seconds. This device is called a stapler. Moreover, its speed of work can be compared with a gun and even an automatic machine - no similar device has such a frequency of firing staples.
Material
As we already understood, building brackets are a method of universal fastening of wooden parts, which is used in the construction of structures or furniture assembly. They are made of high-quality alloy steel, which, according to the production technology, goes through several stages of hardening. Due to this, these products are characterized by high strength, reliability and quality of the connections made. Depending on the purpose, the staples are produced from wires of various diameters, from 6 to 14 mm.
Design Features
Building brackets themselves have a U-shaped design, while they are made from reinforcement or a smooth section bar. The lateral parts of these elements (βlegsβ) have a concave shape and are placed perpendicular to the base at an angle of 90 degrees. All brackets of construction have such a design. The dimensions of these parts do not affect the production technology, and they all have a classic U-shape. In some cases, there are S-shaped (twisted) analogues, however, the most effective in the quality of the joints are rotated staples, the βlegsβ of which are bent at an angle of 90 degrees.
Rules for use during installation
The main mistake of novice builders when using such elements in the economy is that they are driven into raw wood, which is strictly unacceptable in the production of these installation works. In this case, the bracket simply does not have the ability to tightly enter the material, and thereby provides not the best connection. As a result of this, when the wood dries, cracks begin to form on its surface, and the connecting elements themselves will perform almost a decorative function.
