Vasily Dmitrievich Fedorov - Russian, Soviet poet and writer, whose centenary we celebrate this year. He made a huge contribution to the development of Soviet and Russian literature. The author has several dozens of poems, 5 works in prose and 7 collected works on nature, life and love.
Childhood
The biography of Vasily Dmitrievich Fedorov began on February 23, 1918. Little Vasily was the ninth child in a family of ordinary workers. The Fedorov family lived in the village of Ust-Iskitimskoye (now within the city of Kemerovo).
The future poet spent all his childhood and youth in the village of Maryevka, which he later described in one of his novels. A large family did not live well, but very friendly. The children helped each other and their parents, took care of the family economy, and together they got to know the world. Little Vasily was very fond of spending time in nature, admiring its beauty and vast expanses. It was in childhood that the love of nature was born in the poet's soul. This love and his admiration was subsequently conveyed by Vasily Dmitrievich Fedorov in poems about nature, which received popular love.
Education
The future poet Fedorov Dmitry Vasilievich studied at the four-year school of his native village. After finishing four classes, he worked for a year on the collective farm. In 1930 he entered the seven-year Zharkov school, which was 12 miles from home.
In 1931, Vasily was admitted to the Komsomol. After graduating from grades 6 in 1932, the guy was forced to leave school due to administrative difficulties and return to the collective farm. Due to his quick wit and responsible attitude to work, Vasily Fedorov was appointed Komsomol leader on the collective farm, and then joined the board of the collective farm artel.
Despite the fact that Vasily graduated from only 6 classes, in 1934 he managed to enter the Novosibirsk College of Mechanical Engineering, later renamed the Aviation.
The first test pen
It was during training at the technical school that Vasily Dmitrievich Fedorov wrote the first poems.
In 1935, the future poet decided to try his hand at a literary competition , which was held in a technical school. The guy was waiting for success and the first prize for his poems. The comrades advised us not to rest on our laurels, and Vasily sent his works to the Bolshevik Smena newspaper, signing up as Vasily Lekhin. After that, in 1936, V. D. Fedorov was faced with the first criticism in his address. An article was published in the newspaper Tasks of Literary Consultation, in which the poet was advised to leave literature for a while and continue his studies.
In 1938, V.D. Fedorov graduated from the Novosibirsk Aviation College and, according to distribution, ended up in the city of Irkutsk. There he worked at an aircraft factory and was actively printed in the factory print run Stalinets. His poem "To the Mother" was published even in the regional periodical:
I believe
That people are very soon
They will mature in deep wisdom
But love is like an apple of discord
Will forever remain
Cruel ...
July 25, 1940 in the factory edition was published the poem "You Must See", which became a landmark in the work of Vasily Dmitrievich Fedorov:
To be surprised is not enough. Must see.
You need to feel and know in your heart.
If you know how to hate
Learn to love and win ...

This is one of the most beloved and acutely social works in the work of Vasily Dmitrievich Fedorov. It first saw the light only after 2 years in the periodical "Literature and Life", and in 1962 it was included in the collection of the poet "Seventh Heaven":
Along with that
What was spilled in the fight
Made my way from the darkness of centuries
To us free
Inherited
Rusted slave blood.
With blood
Rebellious
Hot
They did great things
Unclear solicitor's slurry,
Stirrups
Flowed into our blood.
I didnât go to the doctorâs check,
Here a doctorâs check is not needed.
The slave sensing shyness,
I said to myself: This is she!
I grew strong
I didnât bend under the wind
Not drunk from someone else's wine
But I had to -
The scoundrel smiled
And he felt: This is she!
Blood of a slave
Despising loyalty
Next to the one
What burns on the run -
Like a traitor
Sneaking into the fortress
Opens the gate to the enemy
Like a scout
What strength fighting
Instills a shiver.
Do not kill her with a lead bullet
And you wonât take her by the throat.
But I fight
Not days - years
A tense struggle lasts.
Year after year,
Fighting enemies
I'm in myself
Finding a slave.

And the frost ...
And the frost
And the snow is endless.
On the glass, covering the sunset
Born of a secret
White,
White,
The white garden.
Everything is white
As in the flowering days:
Branches, leaves and grass.
Gentle to amazement
Words are conceived.
I hear
Bird chirping
I see white clusters trembling.
Only know
On a date
To this garden
You will not come.

Reviews from critics and readers
Even at the First Meeting of Young Writers, Fedorov was well received by N. Aseev's seminar. Subsequently, critics compared him with Sergei Yesenin, Alexander Twardowski and Vladimir Mayakovsky. Tvardovsky himself very flatteringly spoke about the work of Fedorov. Friends-writers said that with the death of Vasily Fedorov, Russian literature lost a lot. And indeed it is. Even today, more than a quarter century after the death of Vasily Fedorov, interest in the personality and work of the prose poet does not fade. Readers throughout Russia gather annually at the Fedorov Readings, where they read the authorâs works and share their impressions.
Books of poetry by V. D. Fedorov continue to be published and are popular. At one of the last evenings devoted to the works of V. D. Fedorov, V. Rakhmanov, in whose publishing house a book of poetry by the author was published, he spoke about the popularity of works at present. And young writers and poets of a new generation (Dm. Obryadchikov, Al. Pozelskaya, T. Letneva and others) spoke about a completely new perception of Fedorov's work by the younger generation of readers.
