Round fluffy pompons are a traditional decoration for many knitwear. They are attached to the top of the cap, to the ends of scarves, to mittens, sweaters, pullovers and other items of clothing. A simple method of making bubo from yarn
This method should be considered first of all, since it can be safely called universal. For work, you need such materials:
- Cardboard.
- Sharp scissors.
- Selected yarn.
- Needle with a wide eye.
As a basis for winding threads, two circles of thick cardboard will be used. Their diameter should exceed the planned size of the finished product by 20-30%. It should be noted that the shape of the circles must be correct, otherwise you will have to spend a lot of time and material to align the shortcomings of the pompom.

2.To get pompons of a very small size, winding the threads should be on the teeth of the fork. Its shape is very convenient for intercepting and fixing wound layers.
To do this, a strong thread, selected as a tie, is threaded between the teeth, pulled and tied to a knot. After cutting, such pompons are very fluffy and have a fairly high density.
Mass production
In cases where you need several pompons of the same color and size, it makes sense to apply the conveyor technology of their production. To do this, you need to wind a sufficient number of layers of yarn between strong vertical supports (often the legs of a table or chair cope with this role).
Next, the resulting strands are bandaged in several places with strong ties. Cut one long strand into several short ones so that the cut falls exactly in the middle between the two closest ties. Ready-made small pompons need to be cut and fluffed with your fingers.
