Nar - a camel for man and the desert

A long time ago, twenty thousand years ago, the territory of North America was inhabited by the "mammoth" type of camel - the founder of the modern humpbacked animal. When the global cooling took place, the camels set off on a long journey - in search of food and a more favorable climate. Then they still did not have humps - the main storage of energy and water. The camel's hump appeared much later, as a result of evolution.

Now it’s hard to imagine camels without a hump. Due to this natural gift, a camel is considered the most hardy animal on the planet. The hump is a fatty growth. Thanks to him, a camel can easily do without water for about two weeks, and without food for a whole month. Now there are three species: two-humped Bactrian, dromedary - one-humped and hybrid camel. Nar is the result of crossing the first two species. He adopted the best qualities from his parents. Naras are much larger and more powerful than their ancestors. They are more adapted to life in harsh conditions, bring offspring more often. One-humped camel bunks - only at first glance a single-humped camel . In fact, he has two humps fused into one.

Nar is a camel exclusively domesticated. This is a hard worker. In the economy, camels have become popular for a long time. They are much more profitable to keep than cows. The animal rarely eats and consumes a little water, which is convenient for keeping in harsh areas. It easily tolerates both heat and cold, long roads and heavy loads. Nar is a camel-provider: its milk is fatter than goat's milk. Such milk makes excellent butter, cheese and sour cream. Camel meat is tender, tasty and nutritious. An adult bunk reaches a mass of eight hundred kilograms, out of all this weight of fat there is practically no fat. Nar is a camel that has exceptional quality wool. It is by nature like a thermos - it does not pass to the body neither cold nor hot sunlight. Another important difference of camel hair from another is that it absolutely does not cause allergic reactions.

Why are camels so hardy?

Nar is a camel, although domestic, but it, like its wild relatives, has all the necessary qualities in order to live quietly in the desert or go through it with goods. To prevent hot sand from burning my feet, there are corns on the feet of the camels. The same growths are on the elbows and stomach, so that you can lie down on the hot earth during the rest. Narrow nostrils are able to close completely to protect the lungs during a sandstorm. In the nose of the animal there are so-called cells. When exhaling, moisture does not exit into the air, but accumulates in them, so that later it gets into the stomach. Another nar - a camel with perfect vision and smell. They can smell water and food for sixty kilometers! They can see people being one kilometer away, and moving vehicles four or six kilometers away, depending on the terrain. Camels can quench their thirst even with salt water, which also has a considerable advantage in terms of survival. After all, it is never known where the path will lead - to the river or the ocean.
