A bit of history
The Meridian Center for Culture and Art appeared in 1991. In 2001, the organization became state-owned and from that moment began its cultural and educational activities. And already in 2006, Meridian became a state-budget institution. The building is divided into 4 sections. It includes a sports and creative complex, as well as a large, exhibition and lecture halls. At the center of culture operates the Winter Garden.
Since 2014, the administration decided to modernize the building a bit. This responsible business was entrusted to the Argentine artist Elian. It was he who created the unique graffiti, which introduced liveliness into the architectural ensemble. In 2016, the French artist L'Atlas painted another wall. He created graffiti in the form of a logogram. The building looks unusual and elegant. But this is not the end. The cultural center has many gray walls, which in the future can become a "canvas" for famous artists.
About the halls
The Meridian Center for Culture and Art includes many creative venues. The largest of them is the Great Hall. Its area is 150 square meters. meters, and it seats up to 1148 spectators. The layout of the hall of the Meridian Center for Culture and Art is as follows: the space itself for concerts and performances and the nearby game room. You can leave children in it, where they will spend time with benefit, when their parents will join the beautiful.
Upstairs is the Winter Garden. This space is intended for relaxation. Here you can retire with a fascinating book or have a good time with friends. Also in the "Meridian" is the Small Hall. It has a capacity of 269 seats. It hosts small theatrical productions, lectures and children's events.
