One of the oldest genres of oral folk art is a fairy tale. This is for the most part an epic work of a magical, domestic or adventurous nature. Like all folklore, fairy tales of different peoples are distinctive and have a distinct national coloring, however, most of the popular fairy tales are repeated among many peoples of the world. Moreover, magic items from fairy tales are also transformed according to the mentality of the storyteller.
Two main groups of plot
In the fairy-tale plot-building cycle, two of the most common stories are distinguished: a story about the extraction of a magical object (“Rejuvenating apples”, “Firebird”) and a legend about getting a fairy-tale object and its subsequent use (“Magic ring”, “Two from the bag” ) Tales of the first category are similar to myths about heroes: the character goes in search of a magic wonder, undergoes various tests, takes out (sometimes steals) the desired item and returns home with victory. In the second category, the plot is somewhat inverted, that is, at the very beginning of the story, the main character receives fabulous magical items as a reward (from a saved animal, a fabulous creature, etc.), but after this prey he will steal from him an antagonist, and the character will simply have to ways to return it.
Russian four
The 21st century gave mankind a variety of ingenious gadgets and other benefits of civilization, but magical stories were originally rich in no less assortment of life-saving and saving devices. Russian folk tales especially demonstrate the inventiveness and ingenuity of the authors. Magic items in them are original and very useful:
1. The universal navigator - a tangle. In most narratives, this subject is oriented better than the compass in the cardinal directions and never stray from a given route. You can get it by passing some tests from a character wise in life experience (like Baba Yaga).
2.Miracle feather. Tales, where there are magical objects, are narrated about a lot of outlandish mythical animals, birds that are always ready to come to the rescue of the main character. Traditionally, they give the central character their feather, which must either be burned, and then the bird will appear, or wave - and then everything that your heart desires will appear (“Finist is the clear falcon”).
3. Tablecloth-self-assembly - the cherished dream of every second fairy - tale character, operates on the principle of "all inclusive". Luxurious dishes and drinks arise before the thirsty, you just have to spread it. Listing magic items from fairy tales, one can not fail to mention this more than attractive gadget.
4. Gusli-samogudy. This object works completely offline - they play, sing and even dance themselves. During their sounding it is unrealistic to sit still - the legs themselves are torn to dance. In a different interpretation, the hero could pull for a certain string - and immediately an endless sea spilled, for another - warships float on the surface of the sea, and for the third - ships open fire on the enemy.
And three more
1. The magic mirror. It works as if in modern on-line mode. With it, you can find out what is happening at the moment in neighboring kingdoms-states. Its variation, considering magical objects from fairy tales, can be called a saucer with a bulk apple. Which began its broadcast in an instant when the apple itself began to move along the border.
2. A towel or a magic scallop. To safely get away from the chase after the quest, the protagonist had the aforementioned wonders. Each of them rushed behind the fugitives, and immediately an insurmountable barrier arose on the path of the pursuers. It was possible to get a comb from the same Baba Yaga or to pull a fairy horse out of the ear. Such mysterious origin may be magic items from fairy tales. 3. Walking boots. In some, the variation is “seven-mile”. The owner of this thing could easily and with the speed of light travel over great distances. They may well be envied by the most modern means of transportation.
Wonderful helpers
The wonders listed above are not an exhaustive answer to the question of what magic objects are. The fairy-tale world will grant a meeting with many amazing things. Among them:
1. Carpet airplane. The use of this device is found not only in Russian fairy tales, it is popular among the heroes of the tales of the whole world. Traditionally, it helps heroes travel impressive distances through the air.
2. Invisible hat. A unique object that hides the owner from the eyes of strangers, making it invisible.
3. Flinty. This subject will be remembered by most of the great fairy tale of the great Andersen, because with his help the hero called three huge dogs, and they carried out his assignment. But it is also quite often found in Slavic tales, but in this case, using the thing for its intended purpose, they call a horse or twelve well done.
How many fairy tales - so many wonders
Remembering magic objects from fairy tales, one should not forget also: a sword-kladodets (aka a samoruba sword), a stupa of Baba Yaga, a magic needle, a flying ship, an implacable magic club, juicy rejuvenating apples, a bag, living and dead water, a Russian oven, a wonderful ring (or ring).

Not every fairy tale with a magical subject (the name in most cases speaks for itself) is exclusively folk. Many world-famous storytellers gladly introduced useful curiosities into the story. Among the most famous:

- Brothers Grimm - “Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs” - a magic mirror that showed the truth, and an amazing pot of porridge from the fairy tale of the same name.
- Alexander Volkov - “The Wizard of the Emerald City” (based on the book by the American children's writer F. Baum “The Wise Man from the Country of Oz”) - Queen Ramona’s magic whistle and emerald glass glasses.
