Charles Latoige Dodgson, and this is what the real name of the famous writer sounds like, was born in the village of Dursbury in Cheshire. His father was a parish priest. And Charles became his firstborn. Following the future writer, seven more girls and three boys were born. Charles maintained the warmest relations with them, and they became his first listeners and admirers.
The future writer received a home education. And in early childhood he showed his abilities in the field of mathematics. Having been educated in several educational institutions, Dodgson was brought to Oxford by fate, with which his further life was connected.
The future writer almost had to take the priesthood, because only in this case he could be allowed to participate in scientific activities. But, to his relief, the rules were changed just when he was preparing to finish the procedure. So he did not have to give up two main hobbies of his life - photography and theater.
Initially, the writer, who will later be known as Lewis Carroll, tried his hand as an artist. He created his own magazine for sisters and brothers. When he tried to send the work to a major publication, they simply were not accepted. A little later, Dodgson discovered the world of photography, which captivated him with his head. He often took pictures of his friends, among whom was a girl named Alice.
Lewis Carroll did not perform on the stage of the theater, at first he only watched from the side. But when his first fairy tale “Alice in Wonderland” came out, he took an active part in the preparation of the production. And he managed to show himself as a specialist, versed in the laws of the theater.
The tale invented for the children of the dean was incredibly successful. Even Queen Victoria admired her . But only before Alice, Lewis Carroll wrote only works in mathematics. Therefore, soon there were new stories about a curious girl who behaved like a real lady in any situation.
"Alice in Wonderland"
Lewis Carroll did not even think of writing the first story. He often walked with children and invented various fairy tales for them. But one shocked them so much that they persuaded a man to write a story. So the fairy tale about Alice was born.

This girl would not be herself if she did not fall into the thick of things again. This time, Alice went through the mirror and found herself in a world that painfully resembled a chessboard. And again she had to face dangers and the need to help the good suffering inhabitants of this world. And this time, Alice, of course, will not be left alone either.
The girl will meet the Black and White Queens, see with her own eyes the duel between the unicorn and the lion, and judge the Black and White Knights.

"Snark Hunt"
This work is considered a model of nonsense literature. From the very beginning, Lewis Carroll said that this work is for children. But in the future, critics noted that the novel should probably be read at an older age.
