The new Ubisoft Far Cry franchise, released in 2014, again gave fans the opportunity to enjoy another vibrant world. This time, the players were provided with "Kirat" for experiments, a fictional Asian country, "copied" from Nepal. At the turn of the millennium, in 1999, a civil war broke out in that state , which lasted until 2006. This conflict has become a source of inspiration for developers. The weapons in the game are very diverse - in addition to the "classics", here you can find the brightest examples of weapons specially enhanced for Far Cry 4. Games, by the way, have recently been very conservative in this regard - you can hardly find such diversity and flight of imagination, as, for example, in Unreal Tournament.

Throwing and Silent

Speaking about Far Cry 4 weapons, one cannot ignore the wonderful set of throwing and other silent special weapons that the developers presented to the players.

Perhaps it’s worth starting with bows. There are two of them in the game - a classic hunting one and a modern compound. The first one will come in handy at the very beginning of the game: you simply cannot find the best means for the silent extermination of enemies. But, unfortunately, you cannot install various modules on it. But you can paint. Later, a compound bow will be available to you . It can also be painted, but the main charm is not this: you can put a sight on it - either a simple collimator or a hunting optical. In appearance, they are not very different, but the second one has special marks showing the boom falling at different distances, so that it can be used to shoot accurately even at long distances. In addition to standard arrows, you can use more exploding and setting fire to the target - they allow you to end many conflicts with just one shot, even if there is a whole platoon of thugs against you.

In Far Cry 4, weapons can be placed in four main slots - one is reserved for pistols, the other three can be used as you wish. However, in addition to this, throwing knives can be tried from a silent arsenal - they are available in the same additional slot where there are grenades, baits and Molotov cocktails. You can select them by scrolling the mouse wheel.

Now it’s time to move on to “mechanics” - with hands, of course, more reliable, but the logical continuation of the bow - the crossbow, shoots much faster. On this, its advantages do not end there: you can shoot from it while controlling a glider, a gyrocopter and a parachute (or another vehicle) - it occupies a gun slot, and therefore shooting is carried out with one hand.

There is also a weapon for hunters in Far Cry 4 - a harpoon. He shoots very slowly, so it’s absolutely not suitable for battles. But hunting with him, including demon fish, is a pleasure.

Almost silent and gunshot

And finally, nothing prevents you from screwing the muffler to almost any type of weapon and pouring lead from it with enemies. This module looks especially interesting on sniper rifles - to silently shoot enemies at a checkpoint from any hill is very fun (especially if you keep an eye on how they unsuccessfully try to find the shooter).

But if nothing suitable was found among the standard weapons, try looking at the Unique tab. For example, you cannot install a silencer on a standard AK, but the “Warrior” from this category immediately comes with it! All you need to intercept two trucks with supplies for King Ming - and you can buy this unique weapon for about 200 thousand units of local currency.

Do not like rifles? Well, you have a flamethrower! It is not completely silent (the death cries of your victims, alas, unmask), but this is no less effective.

Classics - loud, fun, fast

Well, and how, when discussing Far Cry 4 weapons, not to mention the one that has been moving from a series of games to a series for decades? The legendary Kalashnikov assault rifle (again called 47th), PKM, SPAS-12, SVD, MP5 and the classic Winchester - all this is here, rest assured, there is. With the help of these "old men" you can quickly arrange a real commotion in the camp of the enemy. Most likely, the truth is, before death, your enemies will have time to call for reinforcements, so always keep in mind a plan of withdrawal, or rather two.

But this is not all the variety of firearms at Far Cry 4. Kirat’s weapon is FAMAS (appearing under the name F1), the Russian M133 pump action shotgun , HK416, the German MG42 machine gun, several powerful sniper rifles, our Bison PP (named BZ19) and still a lot of no less interesting weapons. By the way, do not forget about the pistols - their variety is also impressive.

Faster, louder, tasteful and explosive

Indeed, in Far Cry 4, weapons do not show anything surprising. But all this was somewhere before. But no one has succeeded in combining with such a scale before - now it’s time for you to present the entire arsenal of explosives that the player has at his disposal.

By the way, have you tried riding an elephant? If not, hurry up. Because he can not only effectively trample enemies, but also in symbiosis with your character turns into a real tank! It is enough to take the M79 grenade launcher in your hand - and no one will stop you. This crazy bunch can destroy mountains (do not take it too literally, it is understood that you can deal with any number of enemies, your character will not be paid for changing the landscape of Kirat)!

Or try to lay mines and C4 on the road along which the enemy will advance. This can especially help where you will not be able to shoot, for example, when you have to go under water or climb a cable. But that's not all, because Far Cry 4 has weapons for every taste.

Problems with the Peygan Ming helicopter and other enemy equipment can be solved with a whole set of more familiar grenade launchers - RPG-7, GM-94, LK-1018 (with guided projectiles!) Or real manual artillery - with a Chinese RG-A87 grenade launcher.

Even during the game, you probably will not be lucky enough to get under mortar fire. It almost instantly kills both you and your opponents. Want to use it for your own purposes? Well, mortars are usually at bases and outposts. On the map they are marked with a special icon. Sit down for him, aim, shoot and repel the attacks of hordes of enemies, without exposing yourself and your allies to fire!
