If you want to get creative, make a panel of salt dough. To work, you need a minimum of material, and the result is a beautiful and original craft. The panel will help, for example, capture the dimensions of the handle and legs of your baby, will decorate the kitchen wall, turning a piece of dough into an amazing picture.
Make the dough
We start by preparing everything you need. The main components of the dough are flour and salt. Usually they are taken in a ratio of 1: 2. So, for 2 cups of flour you will need 1 cup of salt. Stir this dry base, add water. This amount of components will require approximately 125 ml of liquid.
Start kneading the cool dough. If it still sticks to your hands even after kneading, add a little flour. If you have shifted it, pour a little water. The result should be a cool elastic dough that does not stick to the walls of the dishes and hands.
If you are satisfied with the color of the resulting material, you can immediately make a panel of salt dough. If you need colored material, use gouache. Cover it with a piece of dough, knead it well. Then color the next batch of dough in a different color. To keep your hands clean, wear rubber gloves.
If you do not immediately make a panel of salt dough, cover the plastic material with cellophane. Thus, the mass will not dry out. After preparing the dough, roll it on the board on which you will shape. Then the fun begins.
Panel for memory
If your baby has not yet grown out of diapers, capture this period by creating an original panel of salt dough.
Roll the dough on the board into a layer of 1-2 cm thick, giving it the desired shape. The next step is to bring in an assistant. Bring the rolled dough to the child's leg so that he can leave his mark. The assistant will be able to carefully attach the baby's leg to the test.
On the other hand of the future panel, it is necessary to capture the palm of the child. If he is still breastfeeding, then he can hold the handles in his fist. Gently straighten his fingers, place your palm on the dough, and gently press. If the child is not so small, he will do it with pleasure.
To hang such a hand-made panel of salt dough in the kitchen, you need to make 2 holes. Insert a wide cocktail tube into the top of one or the other side or make a hole with another similar improvised tool.
How to dry a product
Cover the panel with baking paper, carefully transfer it to the baking sheet. Place the mass in the oven, preheated to 90 ° C. Dry it there for 2 hours, during which time carefully turn over 1 time. If the dough is not sufficiently dried, leave it in the oven for another hour.

Basket of flowers
The next panel will look great on the kitchen wall. For needlework, in addition to the salt dough that you prepare according to the previous recipe, you will need a wooden photo frame. Lay it on the table in front of you.
Nip off a piece of the resulting mass, mash it in your hand into a cake, cover the surface with brown gouache.
Tear off another piece of dough, set it aside for now. Roll the plastic mass into a 3 mm thick cake on the board. Draw a basket on a sheet of cardboard, attach the cut out stencil to the dough, cut to shape.
Wind the basket onto the rolling pin. Transfer it to foil. To give the basket a texture, add a little water to the delayed slice of dough, mix. Put this mass into the syringe, squeeze out thin longitudinal and transverse strips from it onto the basket to get the weaving effect. So that they better stick to the base, pre-moisten it with water with a brush.
Make flowers
We continue the master class. The panel of salt dough is decorated further. Roll a tourniquet from a piece of dough, make diagonal parallel notches on it. Lay the tourniquet horizontally on top of the basket. In the same way, but having previously rolled this strip of dough, make a handle by attaching it vertically to the top of the basket.
To make flower leaves, first paint the dough green. Put the leaf torn from the tree, face side on a flat surface, sprinkle it with flour. Attach a piece of dough to it, press it down with your finger so that the dough covers the entire surface of the sheet.
To make a flower, roll 4-5 small pieces from white dough, give them a drop shape, mash in your hand to make thin petals. To make them grooved, push the grooves with the back of the knife.
Place a thin layer of dough over the basket, giving it the shape of a semicircle at the top - we will attach flowers to this base.
Attach to the resulting base three green leaflets from the dough, and on top - four to five petals, laying them out in the form of a flower. Make some flowers with sheets so that they look beautiful from the basket.
Paint everything with watercolors to your taste. You can make the core black to give the flowers a volume, and the petals pink, lilac. Dry the picture on the battery or in the sun.
Christmas motifs - lamb
Making a symbol of 2015 - a lamb - is easy. Take a piece of dough, shape it into a thin oval. Attach the animal’s head from the top, 4 legs from the bottom.
Now you need to make curls of wool. You can draw them on the body of the animal with a wooden stick or roll small sausages from the dough and twist each in the shape of a curl.
Make the animal an elongated muzzle, four legs and a hole in the upper back to pass the tape. Next, dry the lamb in the oven or on the battery. After that, you can pass a tape into the hole and hang a voluminous panel of salt dough on the wall. The photo clearly shows how to make this cute animal. Snowman
If you want to quickly make a panel of salt dough with your own hands, you can make a funny face of a snowman. To do this, prepare a plastic mass, wrap it in cellophane, put it in the refrigerator for an hour.
Get the base, sprinkle it with flour, roll out with a rolling pin. Make the snowman’s head look like a thick pancake.
Take a piece of dough, add a little orange paint to it, mix, fashion a snowman's nose. Add a little black paint to the remaining dough. Roll out circles from it, from which you will get the character's mouth and eyes.
It remains to make a hole in the upper part of the panel, thread the tape and leave the snowman to dry on the battery for 2 hours, after which it can be hung on the wall in the kitchen for everyone to admire.
