What is kraft paper made of?
It is used at the post office to pack flour, cereals, pastries and other food products, wanting to emphasize the "naturalness" of the product. Many stores, participating in programs that increase the level of human responsibility for the environment, refuse plastic bags in favor of durable paper bags. So is kraft paper as safe as they say?
Kraft paper is made of wood. Moreover, the requirements for raw materials are very low. It doesn’t have to be coniferous species, even waste resulting from wood processing (shavings, defective products) can be used. The wood is boiled in liquor, and very strong brown paper is obtained from the resulting pulp . The words "craft" in translation from German means "strong". This production method has been known since the 17th century, but was not in demand due to the unpresentable color and poor quality of paper. In the process of "crafting" get a lot of useful substances: rosin, turpentine and vegetable soap. If desired, the paper can be bleached or dyed with chlorine (this is very harmful), chlorine salts, oxygen or ozone.
Eco-friendly material is completely decomposed into a safe component in 3 years. For the collapse of, for example, plastic bags, it takes about 50 years.
How to pack flowers in kraft paper?
Discussed packaging material, as a rule, has no patterns and is rarely performed in a color other than brown. The simplicity of kraft paper means plain packaging. However, the material is not difficult to find in another, more interesting performance.

On a small strip of film, you must first place a piece of fabric, and then a bouquet and wrap the ends of the stems. So excess moisture will collect in the fabric, and polyethylene will not let it leak onto the paper.
