The smartest dogs

From time immemorial, the dog is considered a true friend of man, as well as one of the most intelligent animals. Talk about the quick wits of dogs is sometimes shocking even for those who, to put it mildly, do not like them. And dog breeders unanimously reiterate that their wards understand absolutely everything that the owner said, down to the smallest detail.

Breeding a particular breed of dog, a man tried to instill in it special qualities designed to distinguish it from other breeds. Therefore, it makes sense to say that some dog breeds have great inclinations in terms of quick wits compared to others.

Dog handlers around the world argue which dog is the smartest. And they conclude that the most intelligent breed of dog is the border collie. Often these dogs can be found both at exhibitions and at agility. Border collies are very trained, work gives them real pleasure. Their essential advantages are friendliness and immense love for children. Therefore, often four-legged nannies are brought up in families where there are babies.

The second place is rightfully occupied by poodles. People sometimes stop taking poodles seriously, considering them decorative dogs suitable only for circus performances. However, dog handlers who have had experience working with this breed claim that some poodles understand a person perfectly. Despite the generally accepted opinion, owners of poodles can argue until they turn blue, proving to everyone and everything that the most intelligent dogs, of course, poodles! They even came up with a saying: "The poodle is not a man yet, but not a dog!"

An interesting fact is that poodles at the royal courts played the role of hunting dogs. And no wonder! The ears of the poodle are adapted so that when examining the norms of wild animals, the earth could not get into them. They perfectly know how to dig the ground, swim, catching dead game in the water, their excellent scent allows them to accurately find bird nests in the grass. Well, now can anyone doubt which dogs are the smartest? They were even used as water rescuers before. And a large poodle, the so-called β€œroyal”, being a rather strong dog, if necessary, is able to protect its beloved owner and stand up for itself.

Of course, arguing on the topic β€œThe smartest dogs on the planet,” one cannot help but recall breeds such as the German Shepherd and Doberman. German Shepherds took part in many domestic and foreign films and series. Their use as service dogs is also very common. The power of the German Shepherd dogs combined with their excellent training make these dogs excellent detectives, guards and true experts in their field.

And during the years of the Great Patriotic War everyone knew for sure: the most intelligent dogs are German shepherds. After all, you can’t send a poodle with a bunch of bottles with a combustible mixture to a tank! And the shepherds walked, died, but saved entire companies. They even erected a monument for heroism and devotion to man.

When purchasing a dog of this breed, the owner should remember that she needs constant loads and long walks in the fresh air. The same goes for Dobermans. Limited space and lack of training can make a mentally unstable creature out of a dog, taking out its energy not in the most pleasant way for the owner.

That's like everything has already been said about dogs. But no! If you raise this topic in the yard, then all the boys will unanimously cry out that the smartest dogs are definitely mongrels! The mixing of different breeds, as well as life on the street without food and shelter in the face of constant danger, tempered these animals and endowed them with excellent ingenuity. But, unfortunately, some representatives of homo sapiens do not understand this, creating things that cannot be understood by a normal person. They explain their unseemly actions to nonhumans by the fact that the dog allegedly β€œcan bite”. But this is a completely different topic.
