New Year 2014 is coming very soon. Festive bustle captures us all. Everything needs to be done: to decorate the house, and to prepare gifts for relatives, friends and work colleagues. And this is not a simple matter. Presentations should be beautiful, necessary, and most importantly original.
Still have not decided what to give the closest people? Here's a tip for you: a horse figurine will be the surest gift in the new year. 2014 will be held under the sign of this animal, and it (no matter what interpretation) should be in every house. Therefore, we suggest you immediately take up work. Felt horses - this is what we will teach you to sew in the next workshops. They can serve as Christmas tree decorations, pendants on the phone or handbag, key chains, jewelry or just a soft toy for the child.

For work, you need such materials:
- felt;
- threads for embroidery;
- needle;
- filler (cotton wool, synthetic winterizer);
- decorative elements (beads, beads, braid, ribbons);
- paper;
- pencil;
- scissors.
Instruction: how to sew a horse from felt
- Pattern. On the sheet of paper, follow the pattern of the future toy. Transfer the pattern to felt, circle with a pencil and cut two identical parts in mirror image. Separately cut the blank of the mane and the tail (in one copy).
- Performing small parts and decoration. Sew bead eyes or small beads on each blank in the right places. Decorate your torso to your taste. It can be stripes from braid, circles from sequins, painted with acrylic paints.
- The connection of the product into one. Put one part of the body on the other, between them insert the blank-mane and sew with small stitches. Attach the ponytail in the same way. Now change the thread on the mouline thread and decorate the entire product with a beautiful seam or needle forward seam. If such horses made of felt will later be used as pendants, then loops from braid or ribbon are sewn along with the mane.
- Stuffing figures. Leave several centimeters unstitched in the neck area of the horse toy. Fill the filler through this hole, inserting it with scissors into hard-to-reach places (legs, nose). Sew a hole.
- Tie the horse’s neck with a ribbon, forming a beautiful bow. You can hang a bells or a bell. Embroider a mouth and a nose with a pink floss thread.
These felt horses are very beautiful, pleasant to the touch, and easy to care for. If such a product is dirty, it can be washed by hand or in a typewriter.
Brooch "Horse" from felt
A figurine of the symbol of the new 2014 will become a worthy decoration of your New Year's outfit. A brooch made of felt is very simple to make. First draw on paper the future product. It can be either a whole image of an animal, or just its head. According to the sketch, make a pattern of fabric. If your felt is thin, make it double. Make out all the details of the product: eyes, nostrils, mouth, ears. Sew the edges of the product with a buttonhole . An additional volume of brooches will give the beads if you attach it around the circumference of the product. This can be done while sewing the edge, stringing it on the needle before each stitch. Glue the clasp on the wrong side of the product. It can be removed from the old jewelry or bought at a needlework store. As an option, take any badge and glue felt blank directly onto it. In work, use a thermal gun or glue "Moment".
