Coffee beans are not only a product for cooking a delicious invigorating drink, but also an excellent material for the manufacture of decorative elements. They have a pleasant smell, interesting texture and rich color. Therefore, they are so often used in creating a wide variety of crafts.
Including topiary, artificially created trees are often decorated with arabica or robusta grains. In this article we will share with you an interesting master class called "Coffee Tree". It is not difficult to make this craft, the main thing is to stock up with the necessary materials, and, of course, not to forget about the excellent mood.
Coffee tree from grain: we prepare tools and materials
To work, you need to purchase the following materials and tools:
- newspaper;
- threads
- brown corrugated paper;
- hot gun or glue "Titan" ;
- coffee beans;
- a branch about 20 cm long;
- twine;
- mug or pot;
- pebbles of medium size;
- plasticine;
- decorative elements for decoration - cinnamon stick, ribbons, anise star, etc.
We begin to make a decorative tree from coffee beans with the manufacture of crowns. To do this, take one newspaper sheet and crumple it, giving the shape of a ball. Wrap the workpiece with four more sheets. We wrap the resulting spherical billet with thread and wrap it with brown corrugated paper. Thanks to this paper, when sticking grains onto a ball, ugly pieces of newspaper will not be visible. We fix our ball again with a thread.
Coffee tree made from grain: we make the topiary trunk and assemble the structure
The second stage of work is the manufacture of a trunk for our tree of happiness. We take the prepared dry twig and carefully wrap it with twine. That's all, the trunk is ready. Now we connect the ball and the twig: we make a small hole in the “crown” suitable for the diameter of the trunk. We put glue on one end of the branch and insert it into the ball. Our topiary has already acquired the necessary form, which means that we can proceed to a pleasant design work.
Charming coffee tree made from grains: craft decoration
In order for our topiary to become truly coffee, it is necessary to decorate its crown with arabica kernels. To do this, take glue and a small stick or brush. Gently spread the glue with a stick across the newspaper ball and glue all the grains in turn. It is advisable to attach coffee as tightly as possible without leaving gaps between the grains. As a result, we get a fragrant, beautiful tree of happiness. But our work is not finished - the topiary needs a pot. We take the prepared container and place pebbles in it, so that the craft is more stable. We put the trunk of our tree in a pot. We cover stones from above with artistic clay, tightly lay the material to the very edges of the container. Well, now it remains only to steal our topiary with various decorative elements that will give it attractiveness and originality. Take a cinnamon stick and fix it in a pot with glue. We decorate the coffee crown with an anise star. The pot itself is decorated with twine, ribbons and coffee beans.
