Passport data as a legal conflict

Passport data is an interesting point in Russian law. Its peculiarity lies in the fact that nowhere is there any complete, legally justified explanation of what is included in this concept. And this greatly complicates communication with many authorities and authorities, introducing confusion and making it unclear what exactly needs to be included in official papers.

passport data

Very often, when filling out various applications, communicating with passport office employees, and also when registering a business or legal entity, passport data is required. And from the employee to the employee who is communicating with, the list of what needs to be indicated in this column can expand or decrease.

Before moving on to the practical part to determine what exactly is included in this concept, it is worthwhile to figure out why passport data is needed at all. They are a kind of identifier of the person. It is not necessary for a person to write his name, surname and patronymic, as well as the date of birth, it is enough to indicate the numbers that appear in the document so that it can be found. This is used by many structures - mobile operators store a database where there is all the information about a citizen in order to recover a debt from him, if he manages to do so; banks in the same way track non-payers, preventing them from hiding from reckoning. State authorities, in turn, most often carry out job descriptions that urge them to request and record passport data of Russian citizens. In these institutions, problems usually arise due to the fact that it is not clear which information should be entered into the documents.

change of passport data of the founder

Another case in which the information from the most important document in the life of any person comes in handy may be re-registration of papers in business. Various legal entities begin to exist under the direction of a person with the same data in the passport, and then he needs to change the document for some reason. This procedure is called the “change of the founder’s passport data” and takes place in the manner prescribed by law. First of all, it is necessary to notify the registering authority within the prescribed period, namely three days from the moment of the change of the document. After that, an application is submitted, where updated information is indicated. The paper is signed by the director and certified by a notary. After seven days, all changes will be made to official documents.

The passport data itself includes the number and series, as well as the name of the authority that issued the documents, and the code of its unit. But many civil servants may find such a list incomplete, demanding to include in it the name, surname and patronymic, as well as the date of birth.

From a legal point of view, this procedure is not correct. But if you approach the issue from the point of view of logic and common sense, it is much easier to agree with the employee of the service and make the necessary corrections. This will save nerves and time, and most importantly, not create additional problems in matters of working with state institutions.
