Basically, the insole length is longer than the foot due to the decorative allowance, which may differ from different manufacturers (from 0 to 12 millimeters). This confuses buyers when converting sizes from one system to another. An approximate standard of 10 millimeters is currently being adopted.
3. Like the French, the English system measures the shoes along the length of the insole, but the stroke is one third of an inch or 8.5 mm. Zero size equals a 4-inch heel rounding of the insole, which is the standard foot size of a newborn baby. Next, the numbering alternates with the addition of one third of an inch. In the line of children's sizes, there are gradations from 0 to 13, and for adults - from 1 to 13.
4. Calculation for men in the American system of the ratio of shoe sizes is different from that for women. In its scheme, it is similar to English. The difference is that the zero size is 2.1 mm smaller (1 \ 12 inches). Further, the size order observes the same difference of 1.3 inches. For women, the start of measurement is even smaller, and is also numbered up to size 13.
5. German shoe sizes differ from "ours" by 1 point. For example, if you have a full size 36, then according to the German system it will be 37.
