"Sheep": applique made of different materials

Do you often do art at home with your child? Do collaborative creative work? If your kid likes to stick details on the base, to craft crafts, he will definitely get a beautiful sheep. Application is made of available materials. The process is simple and interesting, so that you can occupy your child with calm and useful creative work for a long time.

Pad of sheep

This is the simplest option, and you can use only one round blank only as the body of an animal, and draw the rest of the details or make out of paper. Another craft "Lamb" (application) can also be easily performed, but using several circles to make the body. In the first case, you can make a whole flock of lambs from one pack of cotton pads, and in the second case, a little, but they will be voluminous, “well-fed”.

The work goes like this:

1. Prepare a cardboard base or a printed image of a hand-drawn picture - a landscape where your lambs will walk.
2. Mark with a pencil the places where you want to glue the workpieces.
3. Apply glue to the surface and attach a cotton pad. If the sheep will consist of one element, it can be preliminarily trimmed along the contour in the form of a wavy line. If there are several, just stick the circles inside the body outline with an overlap.
4. The rest of the details can be easily cut out of colored paper, but the animal’s head can also be made of a cotton pad by cutting a blank of the right size.
   

Felt applique

To make a beautiful applique “Lamb”, it’s better to cut out the part templates from cardboard, and use these blanks as stencils. The initial circuit is easy to draw on your own or take a sample.

The sequence of execution is as follows:

1. Cut blanks of all parts from paper.
2. Lay out on the felt of the appropriate shade.
3. Circle the outline.
4. Cut out the elements.
5. Take the base blank and lay on it the remaining parts in layers. Sew them. Small items are easy to stick.

Application "Sheep" from paper

This method is traditional and simple. To complete such a craft, you will need colored paper or finished printed parts. In order for the child to get a neat applique “Lamb”, a template, of course, is required.

So the sequence is:

1. Take the base and draw on it or print an outline image of the sheep and other elements (grass, sun, etc.).
2. Make stencils of parts.
3. Help your child lay out the blanks in colored sheets of the appropriate shade.
4. Circle the blanks and cut.
5. Glue the details on the base sequentially - from the background and its components, moving to the elements closest to the viewer. Last but not least, eyes, nose and other small parts are usually glued.

Application "Lamb" from napkins

This method of doing crafts is simple, but it requires perseverance, patience and a lot of time to prepare the material. But you get a very realistic sheep.

Application from napkins is performed as follows:

1. Paste the napkins onto arbitrary pieces of approximately equal size. Can be cut with scissors into squares.
2. Twist balls or lumps from all elements. In this case, there is nothing wrong if the child’s workpieces are not smooth and accurate. Even if the details are slightly untwisted, it doesn’t matter, because the lamb will turn out more fluffy.
3. Prepare the base and draw or print on it a contour image of the character.
   
   It is good to use a color picture as the background, then the application laid out from napkins will look even more original.
4. When the base with the contour is ready, begin to apply glue to the surface and press the crumpled lumps of napkins to it.
5. Lay the sheepskin coat with blanks from napkins.
6. Glue color-cut, painted, or purchased plastic eyes.
7. Make ears, tail.
8. Hooves are also easy to cut out of colored paper, but can also be made from crumpled lumps of napkins, only they will have to be painted in brown or another suitable dark shade.

As you can see, the sheep (application) can be made of different materials that well convey the color and texture of the wool. Have your child make a craft using several techniques. It is interesting and useful.
