Regions of Minsk. Their infrastructure and livelihoods

Minsk is one of the oldest cities in Europe. Of course, now its appearance is modern, this is due to the fact that it has been almost completely destroyed and restored again more than ten times. This picturesque city, despite its small size, has a rather complicated zoning scheme. Most likely, this is the result of constant changes and historical changes. Minsk became more numerous every year, its legal status and geographical location of the center often changed.

Minsk - an ancient shopping center

Some sources claim that the city is almost a thousand years old, and its name is due to the intersection of trade routes on this territory. So he got his name: from the word "barter", that is, change, exchange. Archaeologists confirm the fact that earlier there were probably two settlements, or hillforts, which were famous for their prosperous trading industry. Watching the noisy Minsk today, it’s hard to believe that only a couple of millennia ago there were quiet pastures on which livestock grazed peacefully.
