History of creation

The Podolsky Ice Palace Vityaz was opened in March 2000. In the same year, it was recognized as the best sports facility in Russia. The palace hosts not only training on ice: the palace is a multifunctional cultural and sports facility.

The project engineers - Yu. Stepnov and G. Kalashnikov - built a modern and structurally complex structure, which consists of an ice rink and two indoor tennis courts. Arches connected to the columns provide strength and give visual lightness to the structure.

The main entrance is decorated with a monument to the knight, which was created by the sculptor V. Klykov.

The cultural and sports complex of the Vityaz Ice Palace has a total area of ​​almost 16,000 sq.m. The infrastructure of the complex meets the regulatory requirements of the KHL.

Main building

In the main building is the main ice arena and 2 indoor tennis courts. The hockey box has a standard size of 60x30 m, the stands accommodate 5500 spectators, 100 of which are VIP seats. The hall is divided into 14 sectors, each with its own exits and toilets.

For the convenience of the audience, an information video cube is installed in the main building, to which video and text information is broadcast. The teams change clothes in 6 locker rooms, a small gym is arranged for them, where there is a pool, a sauna. Athletes can repair and sharpen skates in workshops, have a bite to eat in a cafe with 50 seats.

There is a separate room for judges.

In the main building there was a place for a equipped conference room with 120 seats, where journalists gather, and for a restaurant with 330 seats overlooking the arena.

Training Center

The training center is located 15 meters from the main building. Here is a training ice platform 60x30 m and a platform for spectators at 500 seats.

The center has 4 locker rooms, a gym and sports halls, administrative and technical rooms, a photo and video studio, as well as a bowling alley and a cafe. The training part covers an area of ​​5.4 thousand square meters. m

Nearby is the technical building where the autonomous gas boiler room is located.

Ice arenas

Ice coverage at the sites is provided by Zamboni equipment.

Hockey boxes comply with international safety requirements and are platforms with sides made of durable shockproof plastic and safety glasses. Video cameras around the gates and above the field broadcast the picture to the video cube and referee computers.
