Preparatory work

Pattern
To get started, briefly consider how to make a pattern of children's trousers. We turn the children's trousers inside out and pull one leg into the other. The pattern is best done on the back half, as it is wider. We spread the trousers on paper. We put control marks, we outline panties. We draw a pattern to the waist, make an increase to the waist. We also make a pattern of the front half and cut it out. To sew jeans for a child from old jeans, patterns can be made from open old pants of the child.
Before you sew jeans on your child from old jeans, you need to prepare everything you need for work. We use those elements on jeans that already exist, everything starts to work, that is, we don’t rip off patch pockets, we don’t unzip front pockets. This will help to significantly reduce the time and complexity of work on children's trousers.
We unfasten the belt for adult jeans, unzip the front seam, back seam and step seams. All open parts must be ironed carefully with steam. Please note that the fastener does not need to be fully opened. We leave intact the castle sewn to the codpiece.
Cutting jeans
Getting to the cutting. Usually you need to cut along the wrong side. In the case of cuts from finished products, it is more convenient to cut along the front side to see where ready-made sewn parts will be located.
We cut out the back half of the trousers. If the pattern is made taking into account the belt, the height of the belt must be adjusted. We apply the pattern directly on the old traces of the seams. We retreat from the side seam a little further if the pattern does not grab pockets. We outline the pattern on the fabric. It is best to use a bar of soap rather than wax crayons. In order not to forget when cutting about allowances - immediately draw them.
Cut out the front half of the trousers. We apply a pattern along the side seam. We leave the top in the old tracks from the belt and redraw the front half of the trousers. We cut the second half of the trousers in a similar way with the help of already cut parts.
Tailoring jeans
Pants cut, you can start sewing. Sewing will begin with the fact that we sew the clasp. Pre-process sections of the middle of the trousers along the front halves on the overlock. Sew the codpiece to the front half of the trousers, jokes it with pins. We sew directly along the old line, departing 1 cm from the edge, making an ordinary line. We turn the sewn codpiece inside out.
Well iron the middle cut on the front half, bending about 1 cm.
Now we apply the front half of the leg to the second half of the fastener, slightly overlapping the seam where the lock was sewn. Attach the trouser leg along the very edge to the rebound. Both halves of the clasp are stitched. Now the legs are folded with the front sides inward and connected. Stitch the seam from the lock down with a straight line.
Having looked at any jeans, how the codpiece is built, we will lay the lines around the castle.
Now we sew the back halves. Fold the trousers with the front side inward, connect the fabric with pins. Retreating 1 cm from the edge, we lay a line, preferably double or triple for the fortress. We process a slice on an overlock.
Iron the back seam in the same direction as the front. We stitch the back seam - one seam is laid right along the edge, and the second - the width of the foot retreating from the edge. In order for the car to cope with thick places, you need to knock on them with a hammer.
Let's take a belt
We draw the belt first on one side (from the button back), then on the second (from the loop back). When the belt will be swept in front and with a grip on the back a little, the middle of the belt should be noted on both sides. In order for the highly dense section of the seams not to fall in one place, you can slightly shift the center of the belt to the side. The machine can handle fabric more easily. Make increments to the seams and cut off the extra belt.
The edges of the belt are folded face to face, we are planning. Lay a line and connect the belt. Iron the seam on the belt. We plan the belt to the end and after that we lay the machine line along the edge of the belt. We sew the loosened loops to new places. In hard-to-reach places, where the fabric is very dense or the foot of the machine does not pass, the belt can be sewn manually.
Shutdown
The belt is ready. It remains to connect the step seams, mark the length of the trousers and hem the bottom. Connect with pins the edges of both halves of the trousers, combine the line of the middle of the trousers. We lay the line, departing from the edge of 1 cm. We process the cut on the overlock.
Check the length of the pants on the pattern. Do not forget about allowances for hem. The bottom of the trousers is trimmed. We hem the trousers with a double hem.
We iron finished trousers.
