Modern migration policy of Russia

If we talk about how the migration policy of Russia is formed, then we need to take into account a number of important circumstances that are directly related to the process of movement of large masses of people. Among them are refugees, internally displaced persons and labor migrants. How to manage the processes of movement of these flows, many people argue. Starting with large politicians and ending with ordinary people who watch life from the window of their apartment, everyone is trying to find a recipe or principle for creating an effective management mechanism. The relevance of this problem is obvious to almost every competent citizen.

Migration policy of Russia
Major political figures, as they should be, are concerned about the fate of the country as a whole. Our country has borders with eighteen states. Only in order to guard the borders along their entire length, a large and organized force is needed. And the labor force is already not enough to ensure sustainable economic growth. Migration policy of Russia in its current form annoys a certain part of ordinary citizens. Especially those who do not have a permanent job and, as a result, a decent level of income. They believe that visitors from abroad take away their jobs. In this context, it should be noted that migration from Russia also has a place to be.

Migration to Russia
If the quality of migrants from the countries of the former Soviet Union leaves much to be desired, then qualified specialists tend to leave Russia for civilized countries. They have, even by European standards, a good education and professional skills. Most of them are fluent in foreign languages. A significant part of them successfully adapts to new conditions and finds decent jobs for themselves. At the same time , Russia's migration policy does not react in any way to processes of this kind. Of course, regrets and complaints about the “brain drain” sound very often, but nothing changes in the practical plane.

Migration from Russia
At the same time, experts and analysts predict that negative processes within the country will increase. The next 15 years may become critical for the further development of the country. The number of persons of retirement age will grow steadily. The competent part of the population is aging, and there is simply not enough to replace the newly born. Low fertility and short life expectancy have a negative impact on the general situation in the country. And even the migration to Russia of a large number of people from neighboring countries in the near future will not be able to help cope with a shortage of workers. All these facts indicate that the mechanism of entry and exit from the country needs to be changed.

Migration policy of Russia
According to statistics, more than four million Russians live in Central Asia. All of them are former citizens of the Soviet Union, who under certain conditions can move to the territory of the Russian Federation. Surveys conducted with enviable regularity convincingly prove this. It remains to fulfill only one condition - it is necessary to make the migration policy of Russia more flexible and humane. And to put aside this conversion is not worth it.
