The elephant is a symbol of happiness and wealth. In this article, we will tell you how to blind an elephant. You can choose the most different material for modeling - plasticine, mastic, polymer clay or salt dough. But if you are new to modeling, we strongly recommend that you take clay, as it is cheap and more convenient to use.
The simplest plasticine elephant
To mold the simplest elephant, you need a mass for sculpting black, white (or beige) and blue. Black plasticine is needed for the eyes, white for tusks, and blue for the body. Blue plasticine, if desired, can be replaced with gray or even pink.
First, take a large piece of blue plasticine and make a ball out of it. Give it a slightly elongated shape. Then make four balls for the legs, two for the ears and one for the trunk. Also make a small thin sausage for the tail. Make four legs out of four balls. Flatten two balls into tortillas. We got ears!
Then stick the legs, ears, trunk and tail to the body. Gently coat the seams with your finger. Make two small eyes out of black plasticine. Make two sausages from white. Bend them slightly and stick them under the trunk. Plasticine elephant is ready!
More complex model
You will need a mass for modeling gray, dark gray, pink and black. First make two gray balls. Give one ball a slightly elongated shape. The result was a torso and a head. Stick your head to your torso. Then make six more small balls of gray plasticine. Make legs out of four, and ears out of two. Give the ears an oval shape. Blind the sausage and stick it to the head. The trunk turned out. Stack draw details of the trunk elephant calf. From dark gray plasticine, make small circles and cut them in half. Stick them to the legs of an elephant.
Then, from the pink mass for modeling, first make a thick cake, and then cut out the heart from it. In a stack, draw a pattern around the edges of the heart. Place the heart as you see in the photo. Next, take a dry pink pastel and crush it into powder. Brush the pastel on the ears and cheeks of an elephant calf. Now your plasticine craft is made. The elephant is ready!
We draw plasticine
There is a separate type of creativity - drawing with plasticine. First you need to take a piece of paper and draw a picture on it. Then take the necessary colors of plasticine. For example, for the picture below, you need a lot of modeling yellow, orange, gray, white, black, pink, purple, pink and green. First you have to lay out the background. Then gently with the help of a stack - the figure of the elephant itself. Then blind white tusks, pink mouth and black eye. Next, lay out the purple plasticine hat. Fashion pink flowers with green petals on top. And finally cling to the cap with a yellow stripe. Plasticine elephant is ready!
How to make a craft stronger
Now you know how to mold an elephant from plasticine. But if you are not satisfied with the strength of the resulting crafts, then you can make a figure with a wire base. First you need to make a foundation (the so-called skeleton of the future figure). Then stick plasticine of the desired color around the base. Give special attention to the little things, and the elephant can turn out like a real one. The finished figure can be tinted with shadows or dry pastel, as well as varnished. So an elephant from plasticine will not attract dust to itself, and it can be wiped.
Papier mache
In addition, you can make a basis of plasticine, and then make a paper copy of it. First blind the elephant, and then paste over it with newspapers or kraft paper. To make the craft durable, you will need to glue the elephant three to eight times. Wait for the elephant to dry, then cut it in half and pull out all the clay. Re-glue the figure and again glue it several times with paper. After drying, the figure can be painted!
