One of the most popular genres in literature and cinema is fiction. This direction is the exact opposite of realism, since the main element of science fiction is any phenomenon or idea that is impossible in the real world. Science fiction is divided into many subgenres: science fiction, fantasy, social science fiction and others. Such famous authors as Isaac Asimov, Ray Bradbury, Alexander Belyaev worked in this direction. Their works made an invaluable contribution to world literature and became classics of the genre.
Currently, science fiction does not lose its relevance. One of the modern Russian writers who have devoted themselves to this genre is Vitaly Sertakov.
Author Information
The future writer was born on October 31, 1966 in Russia, St. Petersburg. Both of his parents were doctors. Not much is known about Sertakov’s biography. After graduation, he entered the Military Space Academy named after Mozhaisk. Vitaly Sertakov’s career began in 2004, and the first novel titled “Dag from the Toporov Clan”, written in the genre of historical fiction, was published in 2008 by the publishing house AST.
At the moment, the authorship of Sertakov owns about 30 novels, as well as many poems. The writer lives and works in the capital of Germany - Berlin.
Creation. Awakened Demon
Most of the author’s works are written in the genre of combat fiction. Books are divided into cycles. The most popular series of Sertakov’s novels is the series “Awakened Demon”, which includes 8 books. The abstract of the first work reports that in the center of the plot is a man who is called the Awakened Demon. After a terrible catastrophe, the familiar world was destroyed, and now ruin and lawlessness reign everywhere, people suffer attacks of terrible monsters and bandits. However, there are those who believe that it is the Awakened Demon that is able to bring everything back to normal and make this world the way it was before.
Other works
In addition to this series, Sertakov created three more cycles, as well as many single novels. The debut book "Dag from the clan of Toporov" tells the story of the boy Doug and the Viking world in which he lives. He was adopted by a wealthy blacksmith Olav Severyanin. However, from an early age, Doug knew firmly: he would not engage in craft, like an adoptive father.
In addition to science fiction, Vitaly Sertakov also published several detective stories. One of them is "Year of the Goat." One day a married man and a married woman meet. Between them flashes of passion and love. The hero’s wife learns about this and tries in every possible way to destroy the rival.
