Among the large number of St. Petersburg islands, the former Kirov islands should be noted. It is on one of them, Krestovsky, that an attractive vacation spot is located - Primorsky Victory Park. It is a landscape garden and park complex, consisting of interesting samples of St. Petersburg architecture of the XIX century. Its territory is bordered by Ryukhina Street, the Northern Road, the eastern shore of the Rowing Canal, and the Northern Alley.
Rest on this island began in the time of Peter the Great. Even then, suburban estates belonging to the czar’s close associates, statesmen and prominent politicians of Russia were erected here. In the XVII century, it became the private property of the famous prince Beloselsky-Belozersky. During this period, the sale of sections of the island on which taverns and summer cottages were built began. With the advent of Soviet power, the island did not lose its destiny. It was still a recreation area. After victory in the Great Patriotic War, in the same year, during the mass cleanup in October, the Seaside Victory Park was founded.
The composition of the park includes a two-kilometer alley, the decoration of which is figuratively trimmed shrubs and flower beds with colorful flowers. In parallel to her are two roads along which bronze statues are installed: “The girl meeting the winners” and “Sailor-Chernomorets”. Attention should be paid to such attractions as the pillbox, which has remained here since the war, and the memorial stele, which depicts the heroic victory of the Soviet people. At the end of the alley there are majestic oaks planted by various delegations who visited the park. Victory Seaside Park has another interesting stela, which shows a little girl planting a green sprout in the ground.
Many aspire to the Seaside Victory Park to visit the amusement rides, which are combined into a single complex called "Divo Island". There are activities for little ones. Various carousels work for them and playgrounds are equipped for games, where you can not only jump and run in plenty, but also with the help of exciting activities to develop logical thinking. For teens and adults, there is a huge selection of extreme rides that are breathtaking.
Seaside Victory Park (St. Petersburg) is also famous for its landscape part, in which there are six ponds with landscaped beaches. It is an ideal place for lovers of water recreation. Swan couples living on ponds give a special romanticism to the landscape. For those who prefer a more active holiday, there are separate paths where you can ride a bicycle and roller skates. There is a Nevskoye Koltso track where various competitions are held. It should be noted restaurant "Karl and Friedrich", located in the park. Here, for children, a special room is assigned with soft multi-colored cubes and a pool filled with balls. In the room for the smallest babysitter works. The restaurant has a brewery. In addition, there is a small zoo on its territory.
An outdoor ice rink is open in winter. In Victory Park, it is located on the main avenue, opposite the restaurant. There is a wardrobe, skate rental, a dressing room. Various holidays and animated performances are held here.
