It quickly becomes clear that there is no point in waiting for salvation from the side, so you start collecting everything that will help you survive. After some time, a terrifying discovery also takes place - you are not alone in the forest. It is inhabited by cannibal mutants, which so far have set about eating dead passengers, but soon the reserve will be exhausted and the hunt for the survivors will begin. It is at this moment that the fun begins - and also the worst. However, this is not all that the review of The Forest game can tell you about.
Game process
Many gamers begin to ask questions about the gameplay of this project, some even manage to confuse this game with another, which is called Ori and the blind forest. The review deals exclusively with The Forest, where the gameplay is a survival horror game. You play as the person who survived the plane crash and get control over him immediately after he comes to his senses at the crash site. You immediately need to start taking care of your future - to collect a variety of supplies, look for various useful objects, such as food and water, medicines and much more. You need to build a shelter where you can feel safe, look for ways to protect against cannibals (for example, dirt perfectly blocks your smell, by which they look for you). But do not think that you will always be able to hide, so do not forget about the weapons that you can use against attackers in case of danger. And never confuse this terrifying nightmare with the calm and measured gameplay of the project Ori and the blind forest. Opponents
In the forest you will meet various opponents who will threaten your life. Naturally, the main threat comes from the mutant cannibals, who are waiting for any unusual smell or sound to rush right around and attack you. They usually move in groups - and attack in the same way. In vitality they are equal to you, in fact, as in strength, but they cannot strengthen themselves with weapons, and you can. Therefore, use any advantages, and also remember that the most important thing is to eliminate the leader of the group, then all other cannibals will retreat and leave you alone. However, besides them, there are more terrible monsters - mutated octopuses and spiders. You can kill octopuses with various explosives, but you won’t be able to cope with the spider, so here you need to concentrate on running away and hiding from it. This is not difficult to do, but if you hesitate, you will be eaten instantly. Also, the island is full of different animals, which poses a small threat to you, but if you are well armed, then everything is reversed, and you can hunt these animals to get meat for frying, although this possibility was not in one of the first versions The Forest 0.22. Food
The forest is rich in a wide variety of food products, the most useful and nutritious of which is meat. However, it needs to be fried, which attracts the attention of monsters. Therefore, you can focus on berries and mushrooms, which can also be found abundantly - they restore good health and satisfy hunger, but among them may be a poisonous berry or inedible mushroom, which will take you a lot of health. Also, do not forget to drop by the plane, as you can find a large number of different edible supplies, such as soda or energy bars. Armament
There are not so many weapons in the game: explosives that you can make yourself, a pistol with flares, Molotov cocktails, as well as several types of axes.
