Tools and materials

Application "Mimosa" from napkins

Yellow wipes are good to use as an alternative to corrugated paper. To make the balls the same size, cut the napkins into squares. If the application of Mimosa from napkins is performed by a younger preschooler, who, most likely, will not be able to perfectly roll dense balls, you can not make square blanks, but suggest the baby to tear pieces from a large napkin, having previously shown what approximately they should be in size.

If yellow wipes are not available, use white ones. First, roll the balls out of them, and then lower them into gouache. You can immediately combine the two operations by mixing the paint with PVA glue and dipping the workpiece into the prepared composition, spread the composition on the sheet, although it is better to let the workpieces dry after painting.

Mimosa from paper: application

If the work is done from corrugated paper, the sequence of actions is as follows:

1. Draw on the cardboard where the stems and leaves will be located.
2. Cut the green paper into strips and twist the stems and twigs out of them.
   
   Glue the blanks to the appropriate places.
3. Cut a lot of yellow paper squares.
4. Bend the corners of the square to the center, and then roll the ball. So it will turn out smoother and more accurate. In order for the resulting seam to be less noticeable, the blank must be glued to the base with this side.
5. When applying glue to the balls, press them to the cardboard in the right places.
6. Make some rectangles for leaves from green paper. Cut the blanks from a cardboard stencil or from a rectangle of corrugated paper folded in half to get a symmetrical part.
7. Cut the edges of the leaves into a fringe.
   
8. Glue the leaves to the appropriate places, spreading with glue only the central parts of the workpieces. This will create additional volume.

From ordinary colored paper, the application technology will be similar. The only difference is that the branches need to be made of thin stripes or drawn. Yellow paper circles are easy to get with a regular clerical punch.

The only minus of this method - paper mimosa (application of inflorescences) will turn out to be completely flat. If you want to make a relief, it is better to combine plain colored paper with other yellow material to make inflorescences (corrugated, napkins, plasticine).

When the work is finished and dries, it is necessary to draw it up. The easiest way to do this is:

1. Take a sheet of cardboard in a larger format than the base on which the application was made, and glue the resulting panel on it. It will get a neat, complete look.
2. If there is no larger sheet format , you can arrange the work in a mat, glued from strips of paper (white, brown). The ideal option is to place the craft in a real wooden frame. This method, of course, is only suitable for parents to perform. In the kindergarten, you should use one of the simple ways. If the panel was small in size, it is easy to glue it on a double-folded sheet as the front side of the card.

Cotton wool flowers

If you don’t have napkins and corrugated paper, or if your baby doesn’t manage to roll smooth, neat balls so that they do not unfold, use a material that is easier to process. Application "Mimosa" from cotton wool is done faster:

1. Give your child a piece of cotton wool.
2. Show your baby how to pinch off small particles.
3. Explain how to roll balls.
4. Dip the resulting workpieces in diluted yellow gouache.
5. Lay on a flat surface to dry.
6. Perform all other elements and actions in any of the above ways.
