- scissors;
- pencil;
- glue gun;

- With a pencil or pen, draw a blank on a felt in the form of a wavy spiral two centimeters wide and approximately fifteen centimeters in diameter.
- Following the scissors, it is necessary to carefully cut the spiral along the previously drawn lines.
- Start twisting from the outside of the spiral, where the waves are larger.
Then roll a wavy spiral in the shape of a flower. During folding, you need to firmly fix the craft, otherwise it may unwind.
- Increase the span of the petals during folding from the middle to the outer edges. If necessary, you can stretch the petals. This will allow you to open the flower a little and expand it.
- After completing the folding of the petals, it is necessary to apply a little hot glue to the underside of the felt and fix the craft.
- It remains to apply a drop of hot glue to the back of the flower and stick it on the hairpin.

To make a summer hair clip of felt, you need to prepare a standard set of materials:
- yellow and green felt one millimeter thick;
- needle with thread;
- metal hair clip;
- scissors;
- roller knife;
- glue gun.
Felt dandelion
If you have prepared everything you need, then let's get started:
- The first thing you should do is cut out a strip of yellow eight centimeters wide and thirty centimeters long from yellow felt. Fold this strip in half and outline the future line with a simple pencil or chalk.
- Using a needle with a thread, follow exactly the line along the previously marked line. Then cut the excess thread.
- Take the scissors and make cuts along the entire length of your workpiece to a depth of about 0.3 centimeters. Incisions are made from the edge of the fold and are limited to one centimeter from the edge of the strip. Thus, you have designated a border beyond which you can’t cross.
- Cut your strip slowly, so that everything is neat, beautiful and even.
- After everything is prepared, gently apply hot glue. Then twist your strip at the base as tight as possible.
- Glue the beginning of the strip well, and then twist it step by step, applying glue along the entire length of the edge.
- Keep the base level. Since the lower edge of the strip along its entire length should be at the same level from coil to coil, without any displacement.
Some recommendations
- The glue should be applied carefully near the lines that you outlined with a pencil, for easy cutting.
- The felt strip should be well twisted and carefully fixed.
- We cut all the loops to one at the upper base. Work requiring scrupulousness and attentiveness, but practically time-consuming and uncomplicated in execution.
- Try to cut so that both halves are the same in length. This will be very easy to do if, at the time of cutting, slightly pull each of the loops up.
Make leaves
Despite the fact that the made dandelion looks quite realistic, it clearly lacks leaves. Therefore, on paper, draw the contour of the sheet by hand. Then translate the contours onto a sheet of green felt and cut with scissors.
After the leaves are cut, put them on a felt sheet of a slightly lighter green color and sew in the middle. Remove excess threads and cut the lower light green layer of the leaf at a distance of one millimeter from the upper layer.
Final assembly
After the flower and leaves are ready, you need to go back a bit and cut off part of the flower leg. Exactly the part that we missed with glue and twisted into a tight roll. We will trim right under the line. This is best done with a sharp blade of a retractable knife. You need to remove all unnecessary so that not more than five millimeters remain from the cut petals.
Now you need to attach the leaves, after which your charming yellow dandelions will be finally collected. However, the task, in addition to making flowers, is to create hair clips from the resulting bouquet. Therefore, we will continue to work further.
- Glue leaves to the base of the flower. It is necessary to fasten two leaves for each flower. One big, the second smaller.
- Now measure the diameter of the dandelion leg. It is of this diameter that you will need to cut a circle of yellow felt. Use this circle as a stub to hide all rough work. Apply glue to the part of the circle and glue it.
- The final step in your work will be the gluing of a metal hair clip. Since the base of our felt flower is quite small, we will stick the clip on one of the leaves.
- We place the clip so that it is not visible from the front top side of the hairpin. In the process of gluing, it is advisable to use a hot gun with silicone rods.
