To say that the transport situation in the remote quarters of the Moscow southeast is tense means, to put it mildly. Due to the great distance from the center of the capital, many residents of these places felt like Muscovites of the second grade. This kept up a high degree of social tension in the Moscow outskirts. A natural solution to the problem of public transport was the extension of the Tagansko-Krasnopresnenskaya metro line to areas located beyond the ring road. Residents of the surrounding neighborhoods carefully watched the construction of the Zhulebino metro station. Its discovery was postponed many times to an uncertain future. Nevertheless, a long wait was not in vain. The opening of the metro station "Zhulebino" took place on November 9, 2013. This event, finally, made the inhabitants of the far outskirts full Muscovites.
What does the new metro station look like
Any architectural object is characterized both by the parameters of functionality, and by the criteria of artistic expressiveness. For many locals, the architectural features of the Zhulebino metro station are of secondary importance. Opening it greatly facilitated their lives, and the rest is not so important. Nevertheless, the engineering solution and architectural design of the station cannot be called inexpressive. In constructive terms, this is a deep-laid double-span columned station. The conceptual design of the Zhulebino metro deserves special attention. The discovery of new expressive possibilities demonstrates its striking decorative design. In a stylistic sense, this is pure hi-tech. Such type of stations are not so few in recent decades built in various cities of Europe. But for Moscow this is quite unusual. In the same design style, other stations of the launch site of the Tagansky radius were solved.

Currently, the Zhulebino metro station is the terminal, but this will not always be the case. In the near future, the Tagansky radius of the line is planned to continue to the Kotelniki station. The exits from the Zhulebino metro station have not yet been fully completed, but soon they can be reached on Tarkhanskaya Street, as well as on the streets of aircraft designer Mil and General Kuznetsov.
