The skin as it ripens changes color from dark green to yellowish, covered with dark spines. Inside there is a white dense pulp, reminiscent of cotton wool. By taste, the fresh fruit is similar to jelly that melts in the mouth, with sour lemonade, the taste of pineapple and strawberries. Agree, a rather unusual combination. In addition, the fruits of this plant are the largest of its family: they reach 5-7 kg by weight, up to 15 cm in width and up to 35 cm in length.
