Without exception, children and adults adore masquerades, carnivals, holidays, and especially dressing up. Today you can buy, rent or even make your own clothes an outfit for anyone, even a fairy-tale hero, even a historical character from a distant era. Now we’ll figure out how to sew a Mini Mouse costume, the world famous anthropomorphic mouse created by Walt Disney back in 1928.
What is needed
If you look, then, in principle, this outfit does not require any special skills or expenses, there would be a desire. You can even vary the colors, because the heroine herself in different cartoons was in different dresses. The only thing that must certainly be present is branded mouse ears. To make them, you will need either a hoop or a dense black hat (the hoop is better, since the ears themselves hold tight and are better), glue, a needle with a thread, black fabric (you can, for example, felt), cardboard or foam rubber, paper for cutting cut red polka dot fabric.
Make ears
So, a Mini Mouse costume is unthinkable without neat black ears. How to make them? We take the paper, draw on it two circles of the right size (at the base they will be slightly cut), cut it out, apply it to the black fabric and cut out four circles. Then we make exactly the same (slightly smaller) parts from cardboard or foam rubber. We insert the “stuffing” and the fabric and sew, in fact, the ears (below, at the base, leave a small piece unstitched). Everything is very simple here, it’s enough to do everything carefully and carefully so that neither the threads are visible, nor the foam rubber comes out. Now we take a hoop, we outline where the ears will be attached, and in those places we put two small washing gum on glue. When the glue is dry, take the ear, put on the unstitched section on the eraser, sew the two sides under the hoop. We do the same with the second ear. We cut off the excess pieces of fabric, drape the entire hoop with black. You can decorate the ears with sequins, sparkles, asterisks, whatever, and the rim with bright circles. In the middle or at each ear, a small elegant bow is planted from red to white pea fabric. Hooray, the ears are over.

Do-it-yourself Mini Mouse costume for a child is much easier to do than for an adult. Here you will need only black tights, red shoes or Czechs, a red dress with white polka dots. If this is not the case, a white or red T-shirt (blouse with short sleeves), a black vest with large buttons (it is optional) and a red skirt will do. In the case of an adult, it is better to sew the whole dress, decorate with a white lining. So it will be more elegant and more beautiful. Body stockings or tights, red or black sandals or shoes will look good.
We sew a skirt
The Mini Mouse costume provides for the so-called "skirt-sun", that is, swirling, very magnificent and free. For a child, you can cut a circle of fabric with polka dots and a couple more on the petticoat, sew ribbons to them and simply tie them on the back. Again, the most important thing is the red background and large white peas. If there is no such fabric, you can take a simple red cut, and cut the peas and sew them yourself.
