Bolero is a short openwork blouse that protects from the hot sun or decorates an evening outfit. There are several ways to make them using a hook.
The value of yarn selection
Properly selected materials and tools greatly affect the quality and appearance of the finished product. Crocheted bolero (patterns can be tight or openwork), can be warm and decorative.
Depending on the purpose of the product, a model and yarn are selected. For knitting warm products, both solid and openwork patterns are suitable. - Mark two points with colored thread or knitting pins, the position of which corresponds to the distance from the lower edge of the sleeve to the beginning of the okat. The remaining distance will be equal to: sleeve circumference x 2 + back width.
- Sew sections of the fabric from the beginning of knitting to the first mark and from the second mark to the end of the fabric with an elastic seam.
- Tie the edges of the sleeves and the open edge of the bolero.

The disadvantage of knitting a simple model in the described way can be called a slight asymmetry of the sleeves. On one of them the pattern goes up, on the other - down.
This problem can be solved by linking two identical parts and stitching them in the middle of the back. When making a seam, it’s worth trying the product several times so as not to get an opening too tight. It’s very inconvenient to wear a bolero that shakes under your hands.
Classic Bolero Model

The classic model looks like a shortened tight-fitting blouse without a fastener. Sometimes it is still present, but not for the entire length of the front shelf. It can be one button or ties.

Craftswomen, confident in their abilities, can do without the last point. But such negligence can result in a significant deviation from the planned size and the need for dressing.

How to tie part of the motive?
To obtain a canvas from fragments, the shape of which will correspond to the pattern, partial knitting can be applied. Unlike square fragments, their halves are knitted not in circular but in return rows. This technique makes it possible to get a tight-fitting openwork bolero. There are two ways to knit a half motif: making a rectangular or triangular element. The first one is pretty easy to knit. It is necessary to carry out work according to the scheme, expanding the canvas in two places and forming two right angles of 90 degrees (a total of 180 degrees).
The triangular element is a little more complicated. Here you need to monitor the correct expansion of the canvas. When knitting, one right angle is formed (90 degrees), and loops should be added at the very beginning and end of each row (2 x 45 degrees). In the amount of addition should be an extension of the canvas by 180 degrees. Using the described technique, you can even tie a quarter or even an eighth of the square.

The motives for these types of clothes can be completely different. Most often, geometric shapes or floral elements are used. Often also apply abstract asymmetric fragments. To connect them, you definitely need a pattern. Elements are laid on it face down and stitched or imposed between them mesh.
