The quest begins in Tel Mitrin, with a dialogue with Nelot, who wants to drink and eat, but his leader disappeared somewhere. The protagonist should question the locals to find out the location of Varona, the ruler of the house of Neloth. After a dialogue with Elenea or Ulves, it becomes clear that Varona went for supplies to Raven Rock. The main character will find a ruler near the Stone of the Sun already dead, and next to it will be three crowds of ash. Having dealt with the opponents, the hero should search the corpse, and then return to the wizard Neloth and tell the news.
The quest giver will be upset and ask Dovakin to bring him tea brewed from the dog’s root. Then Nerlot will ask to find a new manager. You’ll have to search in Raven Rock, where residents reacted negatively to the wizard’s request. But the innkeeper Geldis Sandry will tell you that a certain Drovas Relvi lives in the city, who will agree to work if you help him with the loan shark Morgul.
Bugs that arise during the quest
When the hero goes to look for Varona, she can be alive.
- To continue the quest, just kill her and inspect the corpse.
- The issue was fixed in the unofficial patch Unofficial Skyrim Special Edition.
The body of Varona may fall under the texture or not appear in the right place.
- Use the word “Ruthless Power” to force a corpse out of a texture.
- Try using the console command: prid XX0177DD, and then moveto player.
