Handmade Beadwork for Beginners

From beads you can weave a lot of useful things that will decorate your home. We suggest that you familiarize yourself with the master classes and learn how to make such handmade beadwork for beginners, like flowers and trees.

Make a flower

So, we will consider what kind of bead products are . Flowers can be used for any purpose: for making bouquets, as a decoration for hair pins, brooches, and so on.

We present to your attention a master class on how to make a flower:

• Take multi-colored beads, wire, wire cutters, cotton wool and green adhesive tape (photo 1).
• Use a pair of pliers to wrap one end of the wire (2).
• Put on ten beads and loop (3).
• Now string a long chain of beads (4).
• Make a loop (5) at the end of the wire.
• Now take the long end of the wire and leave only eleven beads (6) below. Lift the rest up.
• Wrap the wire around the other end (7).
  
• Wrap the wire with beads around the resulting ring and secure the fishing line (8).
• Make a few circles until the wire ends and fasten its end (9).
• Cut off excess wire on top (10).
• Make three more petals (11).
• Using the wire cutters, connect the four petals together (pictures 12, 13).
• Take the large bead, thread the wire through it and fasten the ends (14).
• Insert a bead into the middle of the flower (15).
• Wrap a thin layer of cotton wool on the wire stalk (16).
• Wind the green ribbon (17) on top.

The flower is ready!

Second build method

Using the same type of spiral petal, you can get completely different products from beads. A photo of the example can be seen below.

Make a lot of petals, only do not cut the ends of the wire, but twist. Then weave them in pairs among themselves. After that, twist together all the stems. Leave the flower as it is or expand the petals. If you want to use the craft as a decoration, then roll up the wire and stick a piece of fabric on top.

Pansy pot

The following is an instruction on how to make beadwork with your own hands:

• Pansy flowers consist of two shades. Therefore, you will need two tones of blue, orange and black beads, yellow and dark brown.
• String nine dark blue beads on a fishing line.
• Then add the same amount and through the last thread the second end of the wire to get two rows of beads (photo 1).
• Now string four dark, four light and again four dark beads. Thread the second end again.
• Do this a few more rows, gradually cutting each one or two beads. The ends of the wire are intertwined with each other (2).
• Make another one of the same petal.
• Perform a similar element, only completely from dark blue beads (3).
• String one row of five beads on one fishing line and six (4) on the other.
  
• Put one bead (5) on one end.
• Make the second one the same petal.
• On the opposite side string two rows of five and six beads (6).
• Now do a few rows of dark blue and light beads in the same way as the first petal (7).
• Weave the leaves. The technique is the same as with the petals. Only now it is necessary to add beads to a row, then to reduce it. As a result, you should get a leaf with clipped edges (8).
• Make stamens. Put two yellow beads on the wire and twist the ends (9).
• Weave several multi-colored flowers. For each, two petals of one-color and two-tone and one heart-shaped are needed. Also make stamens and leaves for each.

We assemble the product from beads (patterns)

Flowers should be collected as follows:

• Weave together two solid petals (Figure 1).
• Weave into the middle of the stamen (2).
• Weave together two two-color petals (3).
• Connect the first pair to the second (4).
• Add a heart-shaped petal (5).
  
• Attach two leaflets to the stem and wind them fully with green thread floss (photo 6 and 7).
• Collect in a similar way all the other flowers (8).
• Take the flower pot and glue its artificial blade of grass inside (9).
• Pour decorative pebbles into the pot and stick the plants you created yourself (10) inside.

Craft is ready!

Create a beautiful rose

Bead rose is made very easy:

• String three beads onto the wire (Figure 1).
• Pass one end of the wire through all the beads to make an even triangle (2).
• Continue weaving rows of beads, each time adding two beads (3). Try to keep the new line a bit convex.
• Weave several rows in this way (4).
  
• String as many beads on each end of the wire as there are rows in your petal (5).
• Pass the wire through the first bead and weave its ends together.
• Make a few petals this way.
• Assemble all completed elements by twisting the ends of each of them with each other.
• Spread the petals.

The bead rose is ready!

Beadwork: trees

To make such a tree, special skills in beading are not required. But the work itself is quite painstaking and time-consuming. Therefore, you will need calm, attentiveness and self-confidence.

We present to your attention a master class on how to make trees:

• String six colored beads on a piece of wire and weave the ends one centimeter down (picture 1).
• Then put a few more beads (2) on one end of the wire.
• Make a loose ring and twist the wire (3).
• Gently pull off the bead ring (4).
• Similarly, make another leaflet (5).
• Weave together a couple of centimeters down the wire (6).
• Form a leaf (7).
  
• Take two more leaves (8).
• Weave the wire and pull back at one end a few centimeters. Make another leaf twig (9).
• Braid an empty section of wire and create leaflets (10).
• Make twigs and leaves (11) in the same way throughout the wire.
• Leave the ends long and weave them together (12).
• Make such twigs a few pieces, and then interlace them with each other (13).
• Cut the excess stem evenly and gently.
• Take some kind of stand (for example, wooden) and stick to it your wonderful tree.
• Align the twigs and leaves so that the product is lush and thick.

Performing these simple steps, you can create not just a masterpiece from beads, but also a whole composition.

White tree

To do this craft, you need a thin white wire.

The following is an instruction for weaving a bead product. Photos of such works can be found in any manual for needlewomen.

• Cut the wire into pieces of different lengths.
• Take one piece and put a large bead in the middle of it. Weave the edges together.
• Put on three small beads on another piece and also weave the edges of the wire.
• Make two types of blanks.
• To make the craft beautiful, you need a lot of blanks.
• Begin to weave blanks with each other. Apply the wire not very tightly, but stepping back from the edge with a bead by about a centimeter. So make a few twigs.
• Then weave together small twigs.
• Large branches weave together into a tree. To avoid injury, use pliers.
• Tie the ends into a knot.
  

You can glue such a tree to the stand or place it in a pot or container, filling the “roots” with decorative pebbles. By creating several such crafts, you can add a special twist to the interior of the room.

Advice

• If you use multi-colored beads when weaving a tree, then you will get a Christmas craft.
• Weave a flower, wrap the wire a couple of times, and bite off the excess. Stick a piece of cloth on top of the fishing line. Take a hairpin or brooch and remove the decor. Glue your bead flower onto the blank. You will get a homemade brooch or hair clip.
• A small flower can be glued to various jewelry, then you will have an original handmade jewelry. And if you make two identical crafts and fasten a special hook, you will get summer earrings.
