In our world, often there is not enough balance, a feeling of calm, goodwill, inner warmth and peace. All this, according to Tibetan traditions, could be found in the mythical kingdom of Shambhala. Brave travelers went in search of it, but only the monks of Tibet knew the real secret of this country. They told people the secret of how to weave shambhala - jewelry of the same name. These bracelets and beads consist of alternately interwoven knots and beads and, according to legend, help to find Shambhala where it has always been, is and will be - inside itself.
In order to become the owner of our own personal Shambhala, we will need: about 2.5 meters of waxed cord, 5-6 large beads, a small board and two nails. As well as scissors. To begin with, we will prepare a kind of machine on which we will fasten the bracelet when weaving. We drive nails into the board at a distance of about 20 centimeters from each other - this will be the "machine". Now let's start the process itself, how to make shambhala.
Cut off 50 centimeters of the cord. We fix it between two nails, tying it to knots so that on both sides 10-15 centimeters of free cord are left. They will serve us as ties for Shambhala. When one of the ends of the cord is fixed on a nail, we string all the beads on the cord, and only after that we fix it on the other side. On the resulting workpiece, which should be well stretched between the nails, we will practice how to weave shambhala. The remaining cord is about two meters long, we stretch it under a stretched base and tie it on a simple knot so that we get two symmetrical ends - right and left. To distinguish them, tie on one of them, for example, with your left, a tight knot. We start weaving.
By themselves, the techniques of weaving knots on shambhala are similar to weaving macramé, which means that if you have mastered this skill at school, it will be easy for you to understand how to weave shambhala. We make the first node. To do this, hold the left end of the cord under the base, and then put it on top of the right end and hold it with your finger. We insert the right end into the resulting wide loop and tighten both - the knot is ready. We repeat the procedure this time from right to left - the leading thread has now become right - it is easy to recognize it, because we made a knot on it!
So we weave as many knots as we want, before crossing with the first bead. After that, take a bead, pull it tightly to the already knitted knots and make another knot so that the bead is in its middle. After you tighten the ends, it will become clear that now the bead is tightly attached to the bracelet. Thus, alternating the knots and beads in the order you need, you will learn how to weave shambhala. When you tie the base of your bracelet, it remains to come up with a clasp. Remove the bracelet from the machine, pick up its ends and lay one on top of the other. Now continue to tie with standard knots, but not just one thread-base, but two. It will be difficult at first, but only at first. Having made 5-6 pieces of such knots, tie both threads of the cord with a strong knot and cut. You will get a bracelet with freely stretched and drawn out ends. Hang on the ends of the cord along the bead so that they do not fray, enjoy the finished shambhala.
