Building
The Literary Museum (Krasnoyarsk) is located in a chic 19th-century mansion. The house is built in the style of wooden Art Nouveau with Gothic elements. Museum History
The idea to create a museum arose in 1946. The reason for this was the opening in Krasnoyarsk of the Union of Writers who wanted to comprehensively develop the city in a cultural direction. The collection of exhibits for the future museum began in 1956 by decision of the Chairman of the Union of Writers N.S. Ustinovich.
In fact, the museum was created at the suggestion of V.P. Astafieva. Such a delay arose because the restoration of the building itself lasted 10 years. The official opening date of the museum is June 6, 1997.
