New Year's parties in kindergarten usually take the form of a carnival, that is, children wear any costumes of fairy-tale characters. Parents are faced with the difficult task of choosing an original costume for their child so that it does not happen that several more people come in the same costumes. Only an independent solution to the problem will help. The costume needs to be sewn at home. But what if parents do not have such professional skills. The answer is simple. You need to try to sew a gnome costume on a pattern. All elements of the outfit are easy enough to make. The article provides a detailed description of tailoring such carnival outfits for boys.
Easiest option
If the mother has never been engaged in sewing, but wants to inexpensively make her baby an original costume, then this is not a problem. You can always pick up the gnome's clothes: dark trousers or shorts, a plaid shirt or T-shirt of any color, put on a belt and sew a cap. In order to make it beautiful and bright, you will need to buy one sheet of felt in a sewing supplies store. The choice of color is yours. Dwarf hats can be of different colors.
After measuring the circumference of the head, transfer the dimensions to a sheet of paper and add 1 cm to the seam. You can divide the head circumference in half and sew a cap of two pieces of felt. Take a soft meter and measure the distance from the beginning of one ear through the chin to the beginning of the second ear. You can reduce 1 cm on each side so that the product does not cover the ears. Before sewing, it is always possible to attach a cut to the child’s head, measure and make it convenient for him. It is permissible to make a beard in one layer, or a two-layer one. A simple elastic is sewn along the edges.

You can make a beard of white thick yarn for a gnome sewn according to a pattern. The thread must be strong so that the product does not break at the most crucial moment. Also, the thread should not be pricked so that the child does not feel uncomfortable at the holiday. Such a beard is not difficult. You can place the "hairs" on a rope or rubber band.
Threads of the same length are cut so that folded in half, it corresponds to the length of the character's future beard. Then the yarn bent in half is passed through the loop in the middle onto the rope, tightly tightened so that at the celebration the knots would not untie. A beard is made of any size, depending on where it will be. If it will be tied around the neck, then you can make a long and magnificent. If it will be mounted on the child’s head, it should correspond to the size of the face or be from ear to ear.
Cloth suit
Such a simple gnome costume for a pattern can be made independently. To sew such a vest, you need to measure the distance from shoulder to shoulder. The inside of the fabric is folded in half and a simple rectangle is drawn with chalk. The length of the vest is optional. The center of the rectangle is marked from above and a neck is drawn in chalk on the eye, which is then cut with scissors. It remains to sew the sides to the level of the middle of the body. If the cardboard is tight, you can even stitch the edges. The lower part of the cap will look great with glued cotton. You can glue the whole product with cloth or make an application, for example, gold stars.

After cutting the gnome's pattern with your own hands, the pants must be laid out into separate parts, then manually, with a thread and a needle, all details are swept away and attached to the sewing machine. After the basting thread is removed, you need to carefully process the edges of the seams. From the bottom of each leg, two centimeters of fabric are left on the hem for the elastic. After stitching the legs together, the material for stitching the elastic is also left on top. When done, insert a rubber band with a pin.
After stitching two parts of the front and back, the vest is decorated at the edges with a strip of fur. You can also decorate the cap. Mittens sew at will. Do not forget that the New Year's matinee lasts a long time, and the children always dance in a round dance, during which they hold each other's hands. Think in advance whether it will be convenient for your child to bathe in the whole holiday in mittens or not.
Outfit for baby
It is not difficult to make a gnome's suit for a pattern for a boy. You can wear such a simple outfit for a holiday and the baby up to 1-1.5 years. No part of the costume should prevent the child from moving, crushing or rubbing. Therefore, the fabric is used soft and natural. A beard is sewn like a bib.
