In the Vladivostok Aquarium you can see both live and dry exposure. They are located in three exhibition halls, the area of which, if combined, will be more than 1,500 square meters. The collection of museum exhibits numbers more than a thousand copies, and aquariums contain more than 120 species of hydrobionts, which is about two thousand copies.
One of the largest aquariums is designed for a water volume of about thirty tons. Just imagine what kind of fish or animals of the ocean can live there.

The list of expositions is quite significant. Each tourist, having first bought a ticket at the box office to the Vladivostok Oceanarium at a relatively low cost, can see for himself:
• inhabitants of fresh waters of the Far East;
• inhabitants of Peter the Great Bay;
• motley fish of tropical seas;
• bizarre inhabitants of the seas (Japanese, Okhotsk) in cold-water aquariums;
• aquarium fish (decorative);

• biogroups with albatrosses, funny penguins and magnificent coral reefs;
• display cases with collections of sea shells, sponges, corals, etc .;
• amphibian predators, such as, for example, crocodiles, are represented in the aquarium;

The exhibits of the oceanarium in Vladivostok include rare species of marine animals. Here they are collected in one place, you do not need to travel to different countries to see them. There are also rare exhibits: the skull of a
sea cow (steller), as well as the embryo of sea otter albino.

History of Vladivostok Aquarium
The history of the institution is not too long. The Vladivostok Aquarium was created in 1990, that is, it is a relatively young facility. And they started designing it back in 1987. The creative group began to work on this project, after which it was implemented according to the project of the Primorgrazhdanproekt Institute. The guidance on the creation of the building was taken by the architect A.V. Altai, and direct participation was taken by specialists from the Department of Architecture of the Far Eastern Political Institute.
Technical equipment and installation was carried out by the Japanese company NITIRO Corporation.
The twelfth of July 1991 - Fisherman's Day - was the day of the grand opening of the Vladivostok Oceanarium. It was then that he received his first visitors.
The head of the city of Vladivostok eight years later, in 1999, to conduct the activities of the Oceanarium, the Akvamir enterprise was established. Thanks to this, the oceanarium acquired an attractive appearance, the nearby territory was arranged and the exposition was constantly updated. This attracts visitors here, makes you visit the aquarium again and again, to observe the unusual beauty of the underwater world.
Thanks to the painstaking work of MUE "Akvamir", the collection of the oceanarium is constantly expanding and updating.
From February to March 2002, reconstruction of the expositions took place. Created a new one. It presents the living inhabitants of tropical reservoirs.
In 2010 (in May) the facade of the building was updated. These changes made the aquarium one of the most beautiful sights of Vladivostok.
Six months later, the building acquired a more modern and aesthetic appearance.

It works every day. The Vladivostok Aquarium opens its doors to visitors on Mondays from eleven in the morning, from Tuesday to Sunday - from ten in the morning. And the Vladivostok Oceanarium closes for visitors after six in the evening.

The prices for tickets to the aquarium are quite acceptable and have their own differences for various categories of citizens. For many, of course, benefits are provided.
• So, children under five years of age, disabled people and a participant in the Second World War, as well as military personnel are provided with free access to the aquarium;
• Children from 6 to 14 years old can get a ticket to the Vladivostok Oceanarium, having paid one hundred and fifty rubles for it;
• The price of an admission ticket for adults is 250 rubles, this amount is the highest ticket price, which, you see, is quite inexpensive.
