Installation of self-locking rebate roof
As the name implies, the lamellas are joined together without the use of special fasteners. Indeed, unlike many lock metal panels for the roof, the rebate makes installation operations extremely easy thanks to the self-clamping mechanism. The assembly of the structure is carried out by laying along the ramp, after which each subsequent lamella is inserted into the groove of the corrugation and latched. To fix the sheets of a self-locking fold roof between themselves, it is enough to press with a foot or a soft blow with a mallet. And only after that, for fixing the formed cover to the supporting structure, the panels are fixed with screws on a special lateral line (nail strip) with technological holes.

Owners of such roofs also note the ease of maintenance and unpretentiousness in the care of this coating. The smooth surface does not trap dirt; it is easy to clean and repair without the need to invade the rafter system. But many note unpleasant operating factors of the seam self-locking roof, which include a tendency to deformation and low thermal insulation. For example, in winter, it is hardly possible to manage without an insulating backing if we are talking about a residential building. In addition, low noise insulation is emphasized - moreover, with heavy rain, the roof itself will become a source of crashing.

Due to the original fastening system and the overall design of the folded lamellas, manufacturers were able to raise the operational advantages of sheet metal roofing to a new level. On the other hand, a serious advantage in the form of price attractiveness has disappeared. So, the average estimate for a self-locking rebate roof, taking into account the cost of the material and installation, is 1000-1200 rubles / m 2 . Of course, you can keep within 200-300 rubles. If you use a regular corrugated board as a workpiece and all installation operations with the rebate are done independently. But in this case, the quality of the coating may suffer, since the high geometric accuracy of each segment is important. Therefore, the best option is to use factory folded sheets and, based on them, perform assembly using the technology discussed above.
