So, Mount Lobach (local name is Shorina Gora; Tatar names are Labach, Aigyr-tau) is located on a cape at the confluence of two large rivers - the Volga and Kama. The nearest settlement is the village of Kamskoye Ustye. Administratively, this is the Kama-Ustinsky district of Tatarstan.

The absolute height of the mountain is 136 meters. The approximate sole length is 850 meters. In 1991, a landscape reserve of 241 hectares was formed here. Mount Lobach is a denudation outlier. It is in this place that the Volga River makes a sharp turn, changing its direction towards the Caspian.

On the steep mountain slopes that face the Volga, the Upper Permian bedrock is exposed. These are mainly white limestones, marls, dolomites and mudstones. The coastline bordering Lobach is complicated by numerous landslides along the entire length.
