Igor Nosov is a children's writer. He is not the namesake of the creator of Dunno, but his close relative. Igor Nosov inherited literary talent from his famous grandfather. Moreover, he continued the work of his relative, writing several stories about the adventures of a hero so popular among Soviet and Russian children.
Creative way
It is no coincidence that Igor Nosov decided to compose stories about Dunno . His biography contains several years of work as a photojournalist. However, at the end of the twentieth century, an event occurred that changed his life.
Vladislav Shebashov, better known under the pseudonym Boris Karlov, published a book in 1999, whose main character was none other than Dunno. There is no person in our country who does not know this character. The presence of such a hero is the key to the success of any children's book. Igor Nosov, learning that a certain writer uses the literary merits of his grandfather in his work, first started a lawsuit. And then he himself decided to write a story about Dunno.
Literary activity
“Dunno Island” is one of Nosov’s most famous books. In addition, the pen of this writer owns several works, whose protagonist is the same famous character. Igor Nosov also published the following books:
- "Zhenkin treasure."
- "Petya Ryzhik on the moon."
- "The Diary of Kolya Sinitsyn."
With the participation of Dunno, Igor Nosov wrote several useful and developing books. His work was highly praised by teachers. In his books, the writer raises topical issues. In the work “Dunno in the Stone Town”, for example, the theme of ecology is highlighted. Nosov also published a series of books intended for preschool children. Among them are “Developing memory”, “Figures and counting”.
Copyright protection
Dunno is one of the most popular characters. And therefore, it was not only Boris Karlov who tried to use it in his work. Moreover, Dunno can make any advertising campaign incredibly effective. Igor Nosov knows this, and therefore tirelessly monitors the encroachment on the famous image. He managed to prove copyright to Dunno. Boris Karlov had to rename his character. But the trial with ten-year-old Grisha Vaipan turned out to be difficult and long. A schoolboy composed a story about Dunno. At the beginning of the two thousandth book of the young writer saw the light.
Nosov sued, but this time lost. The trouble is that Grisha’s father is a lawyer. He was able to prove that the book, published in five thousand copies, is the merit of his son. And the grandson of a famous Soviet writer has nothing to do with her. The second time, the writer lost the court with a company that chose the image of Dunno as the logo.
In fact, the name for his character, Nikolai Nosov , was once borrowed from Anna Hvolson, the writer who published a book in the early twentieth century, one of the secondary characters of which was called Dunno. This writer never hid. But the antipode of Znayka gained fame precisely with the light hand of the Soviet prose writer. And therefore, Igor Nosov, being the only heir, has every right to control the further fate of the famous character.
