Modern heating systems allow you to choose the equipment that is optimal from various points of view. But also, not unimportantly, the choice of equipment can be based on design preferences. And in this hypostasis, heating by convectors built into the floor looks very interesting.
First of all, you need to understand what convectors, or convector-type radiators, are. By this name is meant heating equipment in which warm air from the heating element or coolant is transferred into the room by convection. Their design provides for the presence of air channels located between the plates in the fins. The air in the room, passing through them, heats up, as a result of which it becomes lighter and eventually rises. Thanks to this device, constant air circulation and, as a result, continuous heating is ensured. The main advantage of convector heating is the uniform heating of the room, regardless of the existing partitions and interior items. This largely determines their great popularity.
Each floor heating convector also acts. But for all such heating devices, a distinctive feature is that after installation they are almost invisible and do not take up space on the walls of the room. In other words, these are convectors,
created specifically for the design of the room. They can be mounted in apartments, cottages, offices, pools, shops, winter gardens. They are usually installed in buildings with panoramic windows. Often heating by
convectors built into the floor can be found in rooms in which window sills are located at a low height. There are models of this heating equipment for rooms with high humidity. In this case, they have a special
water-repellent coating. At the same time, they not only tolerate high humidity well, but even are able to withstand flooding due to design features and the tightness of the hull.
The thickness of such convectors is about 5-10 centimeters. Outwardly, they are a flat wide trough, in which a heating element or heat exchanger passes through, to which metal fins are connected. Due to this design provides maximum heat transfer with a fairly small thickness of the equipment. To increase power, convectors can additionally be equipped with a fan. Due to this, the flow power can be increased by 3-5 times.
If it is planned to carry out heating by convectors of this type in the room, this must be foreseen even when designing the building. And the devices themselves are usually installed at the construction stage when
filling the floor. This is done so that the heating system is on the same level with the floor and does not interfere with the floor covering.
For these heating convectors, the price depends on many factors. This is the manufacturer, and the length of the device, its power, the presence of a fan to enhance airflow. For example, an EVA K-1000 with a power of 1 kW without a fan costs about 15,000, another model - EVA KB-1000 with similar characteristics (but slightly wider and with a fan) - the buyer will cost 32,000 rubles.
