We were all noisy children, some of them remained. Many deep down want to plunge for a few minutes at that time. It can be asserted with absolute certainty that each of us in childhood made paper planes from ordinary notebook sheets. Now we teach this to our children. For children, this is a very exciting, interesting and useful activity. It develops imagination, motor skills, imaginative thinking, and most importantly - while you teach your children how to fold paper planes, you spend such precious time together.
If you think that after showing your child a version of the classic βSovietβ airplane, you can consider your mission completed, then you are mistaken. As it turned out, to the great surprise of many parents, there is a huge variety of designs of these winged machines. Despite the fact that this activity seems childish and frivolous, launching airplanes today is a whole science.
History tour
The very idea of ββpaper airplanes dates back to 1930. Jack Northrop, founder of the aircraft manufacturing company Lockheed Corporation, began using such paper planes in order to test new ideas for the construction of real aircraft.
Game for adults and children
Later, the idea was born of the sport of launching paper planes, the founding father of which was Briton Andy Chipping. Today, such competitions are held at the world level under the famous name Red Bull Paper Wings. The most interesting thing is that in, it would seem, adult men play a big game with great excitement. In 1989, the British became the founder of the Association of Paper Aircraft.
He is also the author of the set of rules for launching aircraft, which to this day are used by experts from the Guinness Book of Records. They are official in world championships.
rules
Here, for example, are the rules on how to make a paper airplane: in order to create an airplane you must use a regular sheet of A4 paper. You can only bend this sheet. You cannot cut, glue, and use various objects (paper clips, etc.) to fix the paper.
The rules of such competitions are very easy: three people in a team, and they compete in three disciplines: airplane flight time, flight range and (the most spectacular part of the competition) aerobatics.
At home with your children you can make different paper planes. Schemes of the most diverse designs you will find in the literature, and in other sources - it will not be difficult. The article presents a diagram of one airplane, and there are more than 20 options. This will not require tangible financial expenses from you, if there is no such paper at home, most likely you have it at work. Problems with colored pencils or felt-tip pens should not be, in the children's room they are always enough. Color your paper planes in different colors, this will add excitement to the game. And if the weather permits, arrange a competition to launch your airplanes on the street. So you combine a pleasant and interesting activity with a walk in the fresh air.
Make your children a holiday, arrange competitions with them on their days off. What could be more expensive than children's laughter and time spent with them! And don't forget to give in.
