In 2015, the long-awaited continuation of one of the best role-playing games in history was published. "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" is a game that impresses absolutely everyone: the well-thought-out combat system, the abundance and variety of characters, the huge number of opponents, fascinating quests, an interesting plot, as well as a stunning graphic performance. Naturally, as in the previous parts, you have to play for Geralt of Rivia, one of the last Witchers, who once again must save, if not the world, then at least the kingdom. In the game "The Witcher 3" the characters are also very numerous, however, it is worth noting that you can only develop and pump Geralt.
The Witcher 3 - what is this game?
So, now every self-respecting gamer who loves role-playing games should plunge into the world that The Witcher 3 offers you. The characters there are also developing, constantly interacting, so now the computer game does not act as a decoration that never changes - the world is transformed, it lives its own life. You will need to enter your hero into this life, traveling around the world, completing tasks and gradually moving towards your goal, as well as being in the endless search for your lost love. The characters will guarantee you a complete immersion in the game The Witcher 3 - this is how the whole world is so beautifully implemented.
Geralt

Let's talk separately about the heroes of the game The Witcher 3. The characters here are very diverse, but there are several main ones. Separately, of course, it is worth highlighting those characters for whom you can play. Therefore, it is worth starting with Geralt of Rivia, the Witcher, who is the protagonist of the entire series both in the case of books, which are the original source of the world, and in the television series, and in all computer games. Geralt is a person who prefers to act alone, he undertakes any work, even the most difficult, to earn his living, since the days when the Order of the Witchers were important and enormous have passed. And now they look at Geralt as a stranger, but at the same time, if you need to cope with some difficult and incredibly dangerous work, The Witcher is the first person to be addressed. That is why you will have enough secondary tasks throughout the game. Well, your main goal is to search for Yennifer, your beloved, with whom you were divided by enemies and the loss of Geralt's memory. As you know, in the game The Witcher 3, character development takes place simultaneously at all levels - both in terms of skills and in the moral sphere.
Cyril

All fans of the series will have one small surprise - you will have the opportunity to play for another character - not just Geralt. Naturally, you must understand that in the game "The Witcher 3" character development will occur only in the case of Geralt. You will be given only a little control over the minor heroes - about 3-4 hours, which is very small compared to more than 60 hours of gameplay at Geralt. But who is this hero who will become the first playable character in the series, but not Geralt? This is Cyril - the student and adopted daughter of Geralt, who in a series of books plays an almost more important role than Geralt himself. In the game, she is also a very important character, but the fact that you will be given control over several quests makes her absolutely special. Unfortunately, in the game The Witcher 3, the characterâs skills will be available only for Geralt, so controlling Cyri will be only a small bonus for you, but not a full-fledged element of gameplay.
Other characters

Naturally, the game has a lot more characters for whom you simply canât play, but with whom you will communicate, receive quests from them, make friends with them or quarrel. In general, the game has about 20 important heroes, but there are also those that are not so important - they already have no account. As you already understood, in the game âThe Witcher 3â the characterâs skills are available only to Geralt, so you just need to enjoy a good company, be it Triss Merigold or Buttercup. Triss is familiar to everyone from the previous part of the game, since it was she who was the companion and lover of Geralt, who had lost her memory. As for Buttercup, this bard is present in every game and always gives gamers a huge amount of pleasure, as it is extremely charismatic and interesting. In general, you have to see a lot of heroes in the game The Witcher 3 - you will not receive the maximum level of a character very soon, so prepare for a long journey into a world where every hero matters.
Leveling Geralt
Since we are talking about what the maximum level of a character is in the Witcher 3 game, itâs worth immediately clarifying that this project will simply not exist, you can develop as long as you want. This is guaranteed by an open world with full-fledged freeplay, that is, you do not have to complete all the plot and non-plot quests right away - you can safely wander around the world, explore it, fight monsters that you will meet - and so you can also develop your hero. Of course, the main pumping still falls on the quests, and the killing of monsters and other opponents also brings its share of experience, so do not abandon this activity. In the game "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt", the characters do not rush you to complete any tasks, so you can safely enjoy the gameplay.
Builds in the game
So, you should immediately understand that builds will play a big role in this game. Build is a certain way of distributing development points between skills available to you for leveling. You have only one Geralt in the game "The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt" - the characters in other computer games most often represent the personifications of specific specializations. That is, you can choose whether you will play as a magician, warrior, archer, and so on. In this game, you yourself will determine the direction of development of your character, depending on what skills you will pump. But pay attention to the fact that here you do not limit your hero to the choice - those skills that you upgrade only emphasize the features of your battle style, and do not single out one style for you, completely discarding all the others. Therefore, in the game "The Witcher 3" pumping a character is a pleasure.
Skill points
In the game The Witcher 3, the characterâs leveling is based on the skill points that you get when you increase the level. You can distribute them between different skills, which will improve one or another side of your hero. But pay attention to the fact that with the help of raising levels you can get only about seventy skill points. Firstly, you can search for places of power in the world that will give you skill points that you can safely use without raising the level. Secondly, some quests that you will perform will bring you free skill points, so try not to miss secondary tasks in order to maximize your hero. In the project âThe Witcher 3â, the characters of the game do not become stronger, that is, they do not receive such a boost as Geralt. But at the same time, they become stronger in parallel with your progress along the storyline.
Skill tree
Many gamers ask the same question when they see the Witcher 3 game - how to upgrade your character? The fact is that this project implements a rather complex pumping system, which you still need to get used to. So, you already realized that you will receive skill points during the game, and they will need to be distributed between different skills. There are four skill trees in total - one main and three additional, âFight,â Signs âandâ Alchemy. âIn addition to the main tree, all the others have their own branches. Accordingly, you will need to put skill points in those skills on each branch, which you are interested in. With increasing the quality of skills, you will need to invest more points in them. Moreover, the system implements the so-called "shooting ranges" - when you invest eight skills points in one tree, a new "shooting gallery" of skills that were not available before - and so on. So you will They raise levels of the character in "The Witcher 3", but each gamer will have his own hero with different skills.
General skills
The same tree, which has no branches, offers you certain special skills that may interest some players. For example, you may be able to see better at night or recover faster in the daytime. There are skills that simply increase health, add critical damage if you wear armor, and so on. Separately, it is worth saying that all the skills, which number about 15, have only one level, that is, there will be no branches or shooting ranges here - everything is extremely simple and minimalistic.
Fencing tree
If you want to improve the fighting side of Geralt, then you need to concentrate on the Fencing tree, as it affects how your hero will fight. In total, this tree has five branches. A quick attack is responsible for the quick and sharp blows inflicted by your hero. A powerful attack is the exact opposite, as it allows you to focus on the strength and power of your attacks, which become slower, but ignore the enemyâs armor. Defense speaks for itself - it allows you to take less damage and beat off more hits. Working with a crossbow takes you away from fencing, and you can concentrate on firing from long-range weapons. Well, Combat Trans is a branch that is responsible for moral preparation for battle, adrenaline of battle, and so on. Each branch has four skills, each of which has two to five levels of leveling.
Sign tree
As in previous games in the series, Geralt has access to five characters, each of which is a separate branch of magic. Aard is a sign that allows you to create a wave of energy that knocks down opponents and destroys obstacles. Yarden allows you to create traps that act on a specific territory and slow down opponents who fall into the affected area. With the help of the Igni sign, you can launch a wave of sparks at opponents that causes damage and also has a chance to set fire to the enemy. The sign of Quen is responsible for creating the energy shield around Geralt, and Aksy allows you to control the mind of the enemy (and another character in the dialogue in order to incline him to the solution you need). As with fencing, each character is a branch of skill.
Alchemy Tree
Well, the inalienable skill of every Witcher is the manufacture of potions. There are also five branches, each of which represents a separate area in Alchemy and gives you the opportunity to learn four different skills. The first branch is potions, with which you can cook various potions. The second branch is the preparation of oils, which you can then use to lubricate the point of the sword, so that it becomes more powerful or acquires certain properties. The third branch is responsible for creating bombs that you can throw at the enemy. The branch of mutation gives you the opportunity to use mutagens, but the last branch of the trial of herbs gives you access to more advanced potions, which at lower levels would only harm you, but now will give incredible benefits. Therefore, in no case should you ignore this tree of skills, because it can make your character much stronger and allow you to achieve victories not only with the sword.
Mutagens
That's all the basic information on pumping your hero in the game "The Witcher 3". Female characters are not yet available to you - perhaps in the fourth part of the game, developers will add the ability to select heroes or at least pumping Ciri, and not just use it for a couple of hours. But for now, you need to focus on improving Geraltâs skills and creating your own build, since you must understand that you wonât be able to pump all the skills. So choose only what you would like to use on an ongoing basis. And do not forget about mutagens - these are special substances that you can combine with your existing skills. They themselves give a small increase to the health, damage, or any other indicators of Geralt. But if you competently combine mutagens with skills, you can make them much more powerful.
