It is curious that the close relatives of the creature we are discussing live in rose bushes, inside apples and even ... in the buffalo hooves! Of course, this is not about the butterflies themselves, but about their tracks, which cause enormous material damage to humans.

Caterpillars pretty badly spoil us not only clothes, but also nerves ... As soon as they were born, they begin to build their own house - tubes. The building material for this are quick-hardening silk threads. They extend from the mouth of the caterpillar, which is equipped with certain spinning glands. When the silk house is ready, it is masked from the outside with the help of wool, bitten by this creature from our fur coats and jackets, on which it settled. And now we move on to what, in fact, is the mole dangerous.
The insect begins to destroy the hair. For 3 months of its fruitful life, this creature becomes 400 times heavier than its original weight! She is afraid to go far from her home, therefore, when there is no living space left on her clothes, she simply lengthens her tube. If the caterpillar does not like the new fabric, it will move to another place. No wonder they say that the moth is an insect with character! This "journey" is very slow. The caterpillar creates a semblance of a ladder, attaching a silk thread to the right, then to the left and crossing it. By the way, clean clothes do not interest a single caterpillar at all! Give her only costumes soiled with food and sweat stains!
Continuing the topic of the eversion of this insect, it should be noted that the moth is a pampered creature. She hates heat, cold and light. Therefore, fur coats and other clothes, while they are worn, are not in danger. And only in the summer, when we send such things as unnecessary to the closet, does the mole begin to act! Therefore, any clothing that is at rest for a long period should be stored in sealed bags.
