Naturally, this is not about graphics, which, with modern capabilities, reach incredible heights of realism. Here the question is about physics - about the behavior of a car on the road, about driving and other similar aspects. The fact is that most of the simulators are arcade, that is, the controls are greatly simplified - in most cases it comes down to only a few buttons that set the direction, allow you to accelerate and slow down. Also, the physics of the car’s movement does not correspond to reality and is adapted for maximum pleasure. However, there are projects that are distinguished by their realism. In them you will have to make every effort to at least drive smoothly and fit into simple turns. Something more will require real skill from you. It is to such games that the Grid 2 project belongs, the system requirements of which will be discussed later.

Are you looking for a racing simulator in which there is no hint of arcade, in which you need to take care of switching each gear on time, about every extra and missing centimeter when turning the steering wheel? Grid 2 is ideal for you. System requirements, however, may not be the most pleasant for many gamers. Although it is worth noting that if you have a not entirely outdated computer, then at least on the minimum requirements you will run this game. It is worth taking a look at the supported OSs right away to understand that this game is aimed at fairly broad masses. The fact is that now almost all projects refuse support for beginners to lose their relevance to OSs such as XP or Vista. But in the case of this racing simulator, there is support for both of these systems, as well as the latest seventh and eighth versions. Therefore, you should not worry about which OS you run Grid 2. The system requirements in this regard are rather lenient, which gives hope for not too high requests in other key parameters.
CPU
What is worth mentioning here? As mentioned earlier, on a minimum basis, almost everyone will be able to run Grid 2, the system requirements in this case are not very high - only 2.4-2.7 gigahertz per two cores. Almost everyone has such a processor, and if there isn’t one, then you should definitely upgrade your computer, since you are unlikely to be able to run any modern games on it. However, immediately it is worth paying attention not to the minimum, but to the recommended requirements, because here everything is much more serious. The fact is that you will need a processor with at least four cores, each of which will have 3.7 gigahertz of performance. Or you have the option to run the game on a six-core processor with lower performance, in the region of three gigahertz. Thus, you can play Grid 2 even on an average computer, if you do not care about the maximum requirements. But to get everything from the game, you will need a very powerful device. In the case of Grid 2, the PC system requirements are very high when it comes to the best option. The same goes for RAM.
RAM
If we talk about RAM, then in Grid 2 the minimum system requirements are not too scary - you only need two gigabytes of RAM, which is now available even on most laptops. What can we say about stationary, and even more so gaming computers. However, again, if you want to get the most out of how this game will go for you, then you will need at least four gigabytes, which is already more impressive. The good news is that the developers did not overestimate the requirements to the level at which all modern large projects are now emerging. They most often have 6-8 gigabytes of RAM in the columns of the minimum and recommended system requirements, respectively. However, compared to the same Race Driver Grid 2, whose system requirements are definitely impressive, this project can attract a much larger audience.
Video card
If it comes to the video card, then everything is already quite nice for all gamers. The fact is that the minimum requirements column contains a modest 256 megabytes of video memory, so you can easily run this simulator even on a relatively old map. The only problem will be that many old cards are not compatible with DirectX 11, and this is a direct requirement for running Grid 2.

The process of entering Grid 2 into the main markets did not take so much time. On May 28, 2013, the game appeared in the United States of America, two days later it reached Australia, and another one - to Europe. In Russia, it appeared only a week after its release in the EU and only on consoles - the release on the PC was late for another week.
