Kobeya is a perennial perennial and brought to Europe from Mexico. Its stem, whose length reaches six meters, is strewn with leaves folded in a feathery form, and many antennae. Kobeya, the cultivation of the seeds of which is carried out on a personal plot, will delight its owners with beautiful flowers in the form of bells, starting from mid-July and right up to the first frosts. They acquire a pale green color, which eventually changes to white or purple. The interior of the flowers is distinguished by the presence of an elegantly curved pestle and stamens. Kobeya from seeds will grow well in loose soil in an open area. Otherwise, it may not bloom at all. As for fertilizers, they are applied only once when preparing the landing site. This liana very quickly braids the supports, after which it is firmly fixed to them.
Breeding
For a plant like a kobe, seed cultivation is an ideal way to propagate. Seedlings are sown in pots at the end of February. Sprouts must be transferred to a permanent place in the garden together with the surrounding clod of land in early June. In order to ensure abundant flowering of the plant, it is recommended to sow the seeds in an open place in July, and in winter to transfer it to a warm room, where it will undergo further development. At the initial stage, young stems need support in the form of supports, which can be removed only after the appearance of the antennae. At this time, the kobe, the cultivation of the seeds of which is carried out on its own, becomes quite strong and is able to climb any obstacle, whether it is a gazebo, porch or wall.
Planting seeds
The seeds of this vine can be sprouted even in an ordinary saucer on a wet towel. After that, they will need to be sent in separate pots. If you create a temperature regime of about twenty degrees, seedlings will appear in two to three weeks. Immediately after this, it is necessary to install sticks next to them. Seedlings of a plant such as kobe, whose seed cultivation is performed at home, develop very quickly. In order to strengthen the branching, it is recommended to pin them. After passing the threat of frost, seedlings are moved to open sunny space. The pits, the distance between which should be at least 40 cm, are filled with a mixture of turf, humus and peat in equal parts. It is advisable to sprinkle the soil around the plant with sawdust or peat.
Winter storage
Answering the question of how to grow a kobe, one cannot but mention its wintering. For the cold season, Liana in this case needs to be dug up, and the stems trimmed. The roots are usually stored in earth-filled crates or pots in a dark place with a temperature of 8 to 10 degrees. At the same time, it is important to prevent drying out or excessive wetting of the soil coma. After the first spring rays appear, the plant is moved to the light and the temperature in the room is increased. Emerging shoots can be used to breed kobei. Cuttings for this are carefully cut and placed in a separate place with wet sand.
