It is also naturalness and aesthetics. Therefore, wooden houses again gained distribution. For their construction, various types of wood and lumber are used. But modern technology does not stand still, and now there is an opportunity to significantly reduce the cost and simplify these works through the use of other materials from the wood processing industry. One such material is a wooden block.
What kind of material is this?
Wooden blocks are logs that are sawn and processed on four sides. The material meets all the necessary requirements for its use in construction. It is luxurious, reliable, high-quality in operational properties, and even without modern impregnation treatment it can retain heat (low thermal conductivity and thermal expansion) and protect the room. The main feature of any wooden structure is that it "breathes" and is completely environmentally friendly, does not pose a threat to human and animal health.
Material differences
According to the processing method, it can be of two types: edged and planed whetstone. Unedged wooden bars have the maximum difference in parameters, sometimes up to 25%.
Appearance is inaccurate, slight bending or sawn edges are possible, but the cost of the material is low. It is made from wood species such as ash, oak, larch, conifers. Such a beam is suitable for the construction of supporting structures and floors. Also, house buildings are made of it: this is a staircase and railings, window sills and a crate for a topcoat or roof. But its drawback is the appearance, which will have to be masked by applying a top coating. Planed slats are used for the construction of baths, small houses, saunas, sandboxes. They have an excellent appearance due to processing on carpentry and
grinding machines. After such procedures, the logs are perfect for the subsequent manufacture of furniture and doors. These slats have high hygroscopic properties. Wood perfectly retains moisture. Their distinctive qualities are durability and wear resistance.
How to choose
For the construction of the house, preference is given to coniferous varieties of trees. They can not be treated with protective agents, as the resins included in their composition will cope with this. Planed wooden needles are a durable, durable, non-deforming product. Their length ranges from 3-6 meters. For chamber drying with humidity up to 20%, slats are used without delay. With a natural humidity of over 20%, wooden blocks are dried several days before use. But even such measures will not protect against possible further shrinkage and subsequent deformation.
Quality
Wooden bars are checked for section geometry. The standard section values are angles of 90% each (their directness and evenness can be seen visually).
