Big cities attract residents of the province, including the fact that there are incomparably more opportunities to have a good evening or weekend. This is especially true for the Russian capital, because everyone can find interesting entertainment in Moscow today, regardless of age and preference. Moreover, in order to pleasantly and usefully spend free time, it is not necessary to spend a lot of money, since there are many free options.
Weekend entertainment in Moscow
After a long working week, entertainment is a must. Therefore, information about where to go on Saturday or Sunday is of interest to many. Of course, the choice first of all depends on age, since what is suitable for young people can be bewildering for representatives of the older generation, and a boy or girl will agree to go to events “for pensioners” only for the sake of their beloved mother or grandmother.
Below are several categories in which for everyone there is entertainment in Moscow to taste.
Where to relax for free
In the 70s of the last century in New York, Paris, London and other European capitals, representatives of the golden youth loved to play a game, the winner of which was the one who spent the evening better without spending a dime. Young Muscovites may also try to organize such a competition, especially since free entertainment in Moscow is not as difficult to find as it might seem at first glance. So, in Gorky Park every day professional choreographers give free lessons of modern and Latin American dances (on weekdays from 20:00, on weekends from 17:00). And you can listen to classical music performed by famous musicians and students of the conservatory in the house-museums of Bulgakov and Chaliapin. You can also visit one of the capital's museums, as the third Sunday of each month in them, as a rule, is declared Open Day. Among such institutions, the Museum of Archeology of Moscow, Cosmonautics, I.V. Turgenev, the Lefortovo, Kolomenskoye estates and many others are of particular interest.

Extreme entertainment in Moscow
A dose of adrenaline is sometimes necessary for those who spend all days in a boring office, doing routine work. Fortunately, extreme entertainment in Moscow is diverse, and everyone can easily find for themselves what suits their tastes. For example, you can:
- fly in a wind tunnel, which is located at: Zhivopisnaya street, 21 (in building 5);
- to fly in a balloon on any day of the week by visiting the Aeronaut Club located on Dmitrovskoye Shosse (167, p. 29);
- try yourself in the role of a fearless climber at the new climbing wall on Paveletskaya, where you can both make a one-time climb and enroll in a course consisting of 12-25 visits;
- to learn diving in the center "Aquanaut" in the SC "Olympic".
Where to go with children
Everyone knows how difficult it is to cater to small choices and take them on weekends or vacations. After all, entertainment should not only correspond to the age of the child, but also be really interesting to him. Otherwise, parents will face whims and tears or, having paid a lot of money, they will see the bored face of their son or daughter. Based on these considerations, the most universal children's entertainment in Moscow, which invariably causes delight among preschool children and schoolchildren, is the circus. In the capital today there are several similar establishments, including the famous BMHC on Vernadsky Avenue and Nikulin Circus, located on Tsvetnoy Boulevard.

In addition, most kids love various attractions, so in the summer they should be taken to one of the many parks in the capital (the amusement parks at VDNH, in Izmailovo or in Sokolniki). Among the boys, such children's entertainment in Moscow as karting, which you can do, for example, in the Kart Racing Club or in Pilot, is also popular. And schoolchildren interested in science will be interested in the “Lunarium” of the Moscow Planetarium (near the metro station “Barrikadnaya”).
Where to go for teens
The age when boys and girls turn into boys and girls is the most difficult. Therefore, parents often do not know what activities for adolescents in Moscow will be interesting for their children. Among the options that are most popular are:
- visiting the “Confrontation” complex, during which the excursionists are lowered by elevator to the underground bunker of Stalin, located at a depth of 65 m, and a tour of the complex tunnel systems is conducted;
- attraction "Laser Maze" with ten levels of difficulty for children and adolescents of different ages, which is located in the shopping center XL;
- one of the bowling clubs where you can go with friends;
- the Experimentarium Museum, where you can watch science-educational shows or an interesting film about the Universe in a spherical movie theater;
- quests, for example, “Chinatown”, “Diary of a detective”, “Forgotten station” (Klimashkina St., 26), “Big jackpot” (St. Profsoyuznaya, 24, apt. 3).
Summer fun
Unfortunately, not everyone can travel during the holiday season. Therefore, those who are forced to work when most of their friends and neighbors enjoy their vacation, I want to know what activities in Moscow in the summer will help relieve stress and cheer up on the weekend. Among the places where you can go with the whole family, it is worth noting:
- rope "Panda Parks", which are located in Sokolniki, in Izmailovo, in Gorky Park and Lianozovo;
- open-air cinemas, where you can sometimes see pictures without age restrictions, for example, in the Hermitage Garden, in the Museum Museum and others;
- ranges for paintball or airsoft;
- Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo and Mitino parks, where, among other things, you can ride a wagon drawn by real sled dogs.
There is another popular summer entertainment in Moscow - you can spend a day at ENEA. There, walks along the alleys planted with unique varieties of roses are pleasant to combine with visiting exhibitions and museums for every taste and relaxing in numerous cafes. In addition, children can be taken to the amusement complex at the dolphinarium, and teenagers can rent segways, videos, bikes and bicycles.
Winter fun
Winter Moscow is especially attractive for its New Year and Christmas markets, which begin on December 12 and are valid until January 11. During their holding in beautifully decorated shopping chalets, visitors are not only offered to purchase a variety of food and souvenirs, but also organize master classes for them. In addition, in winter, the capital offers everyone to feel like participants in an ice show at numerous ice rinks, the main of which is located directly on Red Square. Moreover, on Mondays, as well as on weekdays in the morning, the entrance to the ice rink is free. You can also show your skills by writing complex monograms on ice in Gorky Park and in Sokolniki.
Water activities
There is no shortage of beaches, pools and water parks in the capital, including indoor ones, so at any time of the year you can find interesting water activities. In Moscow, including in winter, the capital’s water parks are very popular, such as “Kva-Kva Park” with a magnificent spa center on the Yaroslavl highway, “Fantasy” in Maryino, “Moreon”, oriented mainly to adults, which is located on street address Golubinskaya, 16, and others. As for summer vacations, the city beaches at the Pirogovsky reservoir, School and Black Lakes, on Los Pond and on the shores of other water bodies of the city are at the service of Muscovites and tourists.

As you can see, finding interesting entertainment in Moscow on the weekend, and on any other day of the week, is not a problem, so only those who are too lazy to tear themselves away from a sofa or computer monitor can get bored in the capital. Remember, there is one life, and it’s stupid to spend it on virtual adventures or looking at the ceiling!
