When installing the doors, the most difficult is the assembly of the box and hanging the hinges. And here, every stage of work is important, correct measurements are important, a carefully selected door and most importantly pay attention to how to properly insert a door, how to fix it. Step 1. The box is assembled on the door with a minimum clearance of 2-3 mm on each side. You can fix it, both with the help of nails and long self-tapping screws. Just make sure that the tree does not crack. When adjusting the edges of the box, the joints should be cut with a hacksaw and remove excess with a chisel
It is more difficult to assemble cheap, so-called “paper” doors. They are more tender. The gap between the frame and the doors is slightly larger, about 2–5 mm above and below, and 2–4 mm at the edges. The corners of the box is better not to try to knock down with nails or screws. Since the compressed paper will still burst. It is better to assemble such boxes with the help of corners (either those that are used when assembling the frame for drywall, or furniture corners).
You can not try to assemble a box with right angles at 90 degrees. At the moment, even very expensive doors have a slight curvature.
Step 2. The next step, explaining how to put the door correctly, will be the fastening of canopies (hinges). Loops are left and right. They are placed on the side to which the door should open. This moment is very important, and in order not to be mistaken, you can double-check everything several times.
First, the hinges are attached to the canvas of the box. To do this, they should be attached and outlined in pencil. Then, a recess of a couple of millimeters deep is made along this contour, so that the loop “drowned” in the tree, but does not sink. In the same way, hinges are installed on the door. Then everything is fixed with screws that come complete with loops.
Step 3. Now we proceed directly to the very answer to the question, tormenting everyone who is in a state of repair: how to install the interior door. Installation is made after assembly and fastening of loops. The door is set in the opening by level. It is advisable to throw the level from all sides of the box, for fidelity.
To prevent the exposed door from “running away”, it is advisable to drive wooden wedges along the edges and in the middle. But they should not be too thick, otherwise they will bend the door frame and the door will not close. But too small wedges will not fit, they should not fall out.
So, the wedges are clogged, the door is set in place. Now it should be fixed with anchors. First, a drill or puncher makes holes through the box into the wall. Then an anchor is screwed into them, he fastens the box to the wall. They are screwed in pieces 2-3 on each side. Fixation is completed by polyurethane foam.
Before you foam, you need to "open" the door frame. For example, put loose cardboard on all sides and close the doors tightly. Now you can fill the voids with foam. But different foams have different degrees of swelling, so it is better to fill the openings in half.
It is important not only to choose the way how to correctly install the interior door, but also to give it the due date for the final fastening. This time will be 6-12 hours, during which you do not need to open the doors. This is exactly how it is necessary to let the foam seize and then it will be possible to carefully cut off its excess with a clerical knife.
