Brick has been known to mankind for more than one thousand years. Only stone and wood are used longer in construction. But no matter what heights modern technologies have reached, this material is in steady demand.
And this is natural, because a correctly built brick house is a high-quality, warm and durable building.
Why is brick popular?
Construction of country houses made of brick is a very popular service in the construction market. After all, such structures:
- They have excellent performance properties. High-quality brick is a good heat insulator. It does not crack, is not afraid of temperature changes and moisture. This material is very durable and absolutely non-combustible. The brick house is one of the safest, most comfortable and durable buildings.
- Functional. This is a very "flexible" material. The construction of brick houses allows you to realize the most daring architectural projects. From this material you can erect arches, various curly masonry, circular structures.
- Prestigious. Building brick houses is not an expensive pleasure, so the construction automatically looks status. This is a confirmation of the wealth of the owner and his good taste.
Work stages
No matter what was built of brick - a house, a cottage, construction in any case goes according to a strict plan. The process is technologically divided into several stages:
- The construction of the structural box.
- Building insulation.
- External and internal department of the structure.
Each of the stages of construction must be carried out in full compliance with industry standards. Only in this case a high quality of construction is guaranteed.
Structural box
Brick house construction has some technological features. Such structures have a significant mass, which cannot but be taken into account when laying the foundation. You must use either a slab or reinforced concrete tape. The depth of the foundation should correspond to the level of freezing of the soil. When planning its width, the thickness of the outer walls must be taken into account. Usually it is 2.5 bricks. At the same time, hollow materials can be used - this allows to reduce the weight of the structure and save money. The technology of thickened joints is also used, wells and voids are laid in the walls, which are later filled with a heat insulator.
The construction of brick houses involves the simultaneous construction of both external and internal walls and partitions. At the same time, durable reinforced concrete slabs are used for floor and ground flooring.
Warming
When building houses of brick, you can use two options for warming the building:
- Use only external insulation. The thermal insulation is mounted on the outer wall, and decorative trim is performed on top of it.
- Multilayer insulation. In the construction of the walls, the above-described masonry technique with voids, which are later filled with a heat insulator, is used.
The first option is considered simpler and cheaper. The second method is more efficient, but it is more expensive and slower.
Exterior and interior decoration
Exterior finish of brick structures is very simple. It is only necessary to treat the surface with a hydrophobic composition to protect them from efflorescence. Then the second stage of work is carried out - plastering with subsequent painting, lining with lining or siding, stone or block house.
But the construction of turnkey brick houses implies that the customer receives the construction ready for operation. And that means that work on the interior decoration of the structure should also be completed. Which ones - depends on the wishes of the customer. This is plastering the walls, their subsequent painting or wallpapering. It is possible to apply decorative plaster.
