How to work with fonts in Minecraft?

Multiplayer game Minecraft, in which the main emphasis is on free construction and crafting, allows you to modify not only in-game objects. All font replacement options

First, we list all the main ways that you can modify the fonts in the game. In fact, there are only two of them: replacing files with third-party ones and modifying using codes. By default, formatting was only available for the contents of books in the game. But starting with version 1.9, the developers allowed to download third-party fonts to Minecraft and install them manually. Let's consider a method with replacement of fonts.

How to download and install a new style?

The original version of Minecraft has a small feature regarding the text part of the Russian version. The fact is that in the Russian translation, the developers used a thinner font, while the original was distinguished by bold letters and signs. Since in version 1.9 and 0.16.0 for mobile devices the function of self-replacing fonts was unlocked, you can insert any style in Minecraft.

To do this, you need to do the following:

1. Since files with new fonts are just a pack of resources, the installation procedure is no different from other similar add-ons. Download the modification files to your computer and unzip them into the .minecraft / resourcepacks directory.
2. Now you need to start the game itself and open the settings section.
3. Here you need to open the "Select resource packages" and specify a set of fonts.
4. To apply the changes, click Finish.
5. For the changes to take effect, you must restart the game. In the latest versions, you do not need to do this.

To install the fonts for the Minecraft version of Windows 10 Edition, you need to copy the pack to the resource_pack directory, select "Global Resources" in the game settings and download Minecraft Font. • k - overflow;
• l is bold;
• m - strikethrough;
